According to reports, Tadao Ando, the Japanese master architect who is also building Kanye West’s beachfront paradise, created a Malibu architectural masterpiece that Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently purchased.
The substantial acquisition vaulted the house into history as the second-most expensive residence ever sold in the United States, after only Ken Griffin’s $238 million New York City investment in 2019.
Jay Z and Beyonce just paid $200m for this house in Malibu that sits on 8 acres.
It’s the 2nd most expensive US home purchase history… second only to the $238m that Ken Griffin shelled out for a 24,000 sf, NYC penthouse that overlooks Central Park.

William Bell Jr., a well-known figure in the international art scene, previously owned the 30,000 square foot Malibu property, which sits on 8 acres of prime real estate.
The towering concrete building, a trademark of Ando’s work, took Bell more than 15 years to finish.
The property, perched atop the Malibu cliffs, will apparently function as a weekend retreat for the time being. Meanwhile, their $88 million Bel-Air property remains the family’s principal abode because it is close to school and Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir’s classmates.
According to insiders, Jay-Z intends to relocate his family to the Malibu mansion full-time, while plans to potentially sell the Bel-Air property have yet to be verified.
The house, which was first advertised for a cool $295 million, appears to be a steal in contrast. Kurt Rappaport, a mega-celebrity broker who represented both sides in the sale, oversaw the transaction.

The pair was photographed on a date night in London shortly after news of their expensive purchase surfaced. The event marked the start of Beyoncé’s European leg of her “Renaissance World Tour.”
The “Lemonade” singer looked stunning in a glittering black off-the-shoulder minidress.
The eye-catching Balmain creation included a slew of spherical rhinestones placed on thermoformed black velvet fabric, as well as built-in gloves and a long ribbon flowing to the floor.

Beyoncé completed her ensemble with a similar sparkly purse and sky-high platform shoes.
Prior to their romantic night out, the “Single Ladies” singer stunned fans with a remix of her song “America Has A Problem,” which she collaborated on with Kendrick Lamar.
