Billy Ray Cyrus breaks his silence as his son shares a heartfelt message, pleading for help

The country musician and father of six, along with pop diva Miley Cyrus, gave a controversial performance at President Donald Trump’s inaugural event on Monday (January 20), which raised some alarm.

Following the catastrophic event, his adoptive son, Trace Cyrus, turned to Instagram to beg the ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ hitmaker for ‘help.’.

The devastating letter stated, in part, “Since my earliest memories, I’ve been obsessed with you and thought you were the coolest person ever.” I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the best day of my life.

“Unfortunately, the guy I wished to be is no longer recognizable to me. It appears that this world has knocked you down, and everyone but you has noticed.”

The 35-year-old former Metro Station guitarist went on to say that the family had been ‘genuinely concerned’ about Billy Ray for years, but that he ‘pushed all of us away.’.

“Noah truly wanted you to be a part of her life, but you haven’t even been there for her. That is your baby daughter. “She deserves better,” he added. “Somehow, like me, she still idolizes you. We are all holding onto memories of the man we once knew, praying for the day he returns. You’re not healthy, Dad, and everyone notices. Just like I showed up for you during Mamaw’s funeral when you didn’t expect it, I’m still here right now.”

Tace stated he penned the message with ‘tears’ in his eyes before admitting he hadn’t spoken to his father in a long time, despite having hit a huge milestone of 18 months alcohol-free.

“I love you, Dad,” he said. “I’m not sure what you’re suffering with, but I think I have a fairly decent notion, and I’d love to assist you if you’d open up and accept it. You know how to contact me. I’ll keep praying for you until that day comes.”

Billy Ray’s ex-wife, Firerose, appears to have echoed some of these concerns on Page Six, saying, “It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light—for his potential good, because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.”

The 63-year-old has now answered by uploading a YouTube video of himself and Trace singing his 2009 album, ‘Somebody Said a Prayer.’.

Bill Ray captioned the video, “Sunday callin’,” and said, “Giving thanks for the California rain.” I am praying for those who are brokenhearted and in agony. I am also praying for my family. For my children: boys and daughters, and their mother.

“Let this moment be the start of healing for us all,” he said, adding a bandaged heart emoji and concluding with a quote: “‘The past does not equal the future.’ Amen.”

The apparent olive offer comes as PEOPLE reports Miley is avoiding any potential confrontation with her loved ones as she prepares to win another Grammy in 2025 for her participation in Beyoncé’s album, ‘Cowboy Carter.'”.

Meanwhile, Billy Ray has been busy working on a new record, which his son, Braison Cyrus, is producing.

Braison also told PEOPLE that he doesn’t have ‘any ill sentiments’ toward anyone in the family and that working on the record has allowed him to get to know his father ‘better than ever.’.
