Brad Pitt has broken his silence on his almost decade-long divorce from Angelina Jolie after the couple struck an agreement.
Pitt, 61, has been the subject of a media frenzy for the past eight years as a result of his high-profile divorce from his second wife, Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Jolie.
Jolie, 49, stated that the Fight Club star was violent to her and their children, citing an incident on a flight to France in 2016.
During their divorce proceedings, court records indicated that the Girl, Interrupted star claimed she was attacked by her then-husband, with one of their children being reportedly assaulted on the trip in question—a charge Pitt denies.
The FBI also examined the claim, but Pitt was not prosecuted.

The couple negotiated a divorce settlement on the last day of 2024.
Now, ahead of the premiere of Pitt’s latest film, F1: The Movie, which hits theaters in the United States on June 27, the 61-year-old sat down with GQ to discuss the film’s production, but he also broke his silence for the first time on the contentious divorce proceedings.
When asked about how his family life has generated headlines, the father of six stated, “My personal life is always in the news.” It has been in the news for thirty years, dude. Let’s just say it’s a variation of my own life.
The Oklahoma-born actor, who is presently in a relationship with 32-year-old Ines de Ramon, was then questioned by GQ reporter Daniel Riley about whether F1: The Movie and the vehicle he spent much of his time in on film provided refuge from all the attention.’

“Um, I don’t see it that way,” Pitt said. “It’s been an aggravation I’ve had to deal with to varying degrees, big and little, while I pursue the things I truly want to achieve.
“So, it’s always been this nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be, I’m not sure. I do not know. Mostly, I feel lovely… My existence is quite confined.
“It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my family, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it’s like this fly buzzing around a little bit.”
When asked if he feels differently now that the divorce has been finalized and if he feels any relief, Pitt responded, “No, I don’t think it was that big of a deal. It was simply a matter of bringing something to a successful conclusion. Legally.”
