Here’s the confession Brad Pitt allegedly made to his then-wife Jennifer Aniston just before the couple’s historic divorce.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were once the most popular pair in Hollywood.
After their wedding in 2000, the couple appeared to have it all: beauty, money, and shining Hollywood careers. Pitt also made a surprise appearance with Aniston in Friends’ Thanksgiving episode ‘The One with the Rumor’.
Yes, it appeared like Pitt and Aniston had everything they could want… until they didn’t.
The A-list power couple’s relationship ended abruptly in January 2005, when the stars announced their separation in a joint statement.
“We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate,” according to the statement.

If you’re following along, we want to clarify that our separation is not the result of tabloid media speculation.
We decided this after giving it careful thought. We joyfully remain loyal and caring friends, full of love and admiration for one another.”
For a time, everything appeared to be going well between the two, until a shocking revelation sparked a strong division among celebrity followers.
Of course, we are referring to Angelina Jolie in the room.
Pitt and Jolie featured in the 2003 action-comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The picture was released in the summer following his divorce from Aniston, and it appeared like the two got along well on filming.
Pitt and Jolie would go on to officially announce their relationship, have six children together, marry in 2014, and divorce only two years later.
While there is no proof that Pitt cheated on Aniston with Jolie, the swift reversal in their relationships caused many to assume so, sparking the iconic ‘Team Jen vs. Team Jolie’ dispute.
When these allegations surfaced, Aniston avoided discussing them, but her Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, said that she was aware of what was going on between her then-husband and Jolie.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Cox stated, “I don’t think he started an affair physically, but I believe he was drawn to her.
“There was a connection, and he was open about it with Jen.” People typically keep their attraction to others a secret.
“At least he was open about it. “It was an attraction he fought for a while,” she explained.
In 2015, Aniston addressed the fan-created competition, telling Entertainment Tonight: “I believe it’s time people quit with that petty B.S. and just start honoring wonderful work.
“I believe that is gradually coming to an end.” I truly do. It’s simply tedious and old. It resembles an old leather shoe.”Let’s get a new pair of shiny shoes.”
