Jay Leno needs our prayers after the following happened to him…

While headlining the inaugural amfAR Las Vegas benefit event on Friday, Nov. 22, the comedian, 74, stated that he is doing well despite recently tumbling down a hill in Pennsylvania, gravely wounding his face and torso and fracturing his wrist.

“I’m feeling good,” Leno told red carpet reporters, adding, “I’ve got a broken wrist, but I’m all right.”

The former Tonight Show host appeared to conceal his facial injuries with makeup at the Wynn Las Vegas gala honoring Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone.

Leno told TMZ earlier this week that he tripped while attempting to go to a neighboring restaurant at the base of his hotel, which Inside Edition stated was a Hampton Inn around 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh.

“I didn’t have a car, so you had to walk about a mile and a half to [the restaurant]. I said, “Well, the hill doesn’t appear to be that steep.” It measures between 60 and 70 feet. He said, ‘Let me see if I can get down the hill,’ and then he fell.”

“Boom, boom, boom!” Leno recounted, “I tumbled down the hill, collided with a rock, and sustained an eye knock.”

While presenting the event in Las Vegas, Leno avoided mentioning his appearance or the fall, instead focusing on the script and raising funds for AIDS research.

High rollers and celebrities like Michael Fassbender, Jodie Turner-Smith, Tommy Hilfiger, and others were among the crowd that Leno interacted with. He helped auction automobiles and even sold tours of his famed car garage to two different bidders for $75,000 each.

“I get to go there free,” he said.

The Stallones also received amfAR’s Award of Inspiration in “recognition of their generous support of amfAR’s lifesaving work, in addition to numerous other causes related to health, education, and women’s rights,” according to a news statement.
