Camilla Row, a clinical psychologist and wife of Hallmark star Brennan Elliott, died, the actor announced.
The 49-year-old Strong Medicine and UnREAL actress wrote an honest Instagram message on Saturday, March 22, announcing Row’s death at roughly 5:30 a.m. that same day.
“There is no easy way to say this, but I know my wife @camilla_row would have wanted me to thank everyone from all over the world who prayed for her over the last eight years,” he opened his post, which included a photo of Row standing on the beach with a grin on her face. “She suffered immeasurably trying to survive and live with #stage4gastriccancer.”
“It is with a soul-crushing, devastated heart that my beloved wife, #Camipassed away at 5:28 this morning,” Elliott said, at least in part. “Our babies and I lost our rock, a person who not only was the love of my life, my soulmate, my best friend and lover, but also the toughest, strongest, and most fearless person I have ever met in my life and the greatest mother to her babies.”

“I don’t know how much anguish she went through, but I can promise everyone who loved her that she is at peace and no longer suffering. You are now with the Lord, my Queen! 🙏🙏. ” You’re free!” The actor wrote. “Heaven is a much better place with you in it, my darling… I will always remember what you did for the #gastriccancer community, but I will always remember what you did for me as a man.
Elliott concluded his lengthy caption by stating that everyone who has met his wife was “blessed because of her presence.”
“I love you, am in love, and will always be in love with you, my baby!” He went on. “I know you’re dancing, on vacation in paradise, and cancer-free. When the Lord calls me and it is my time, I will meet you in paradise, and we will start dancing again!! 🙏🙏. I will forever remain your passionate companion!”
“I will miss you on this plane forever, but I will see you soon!” he exclaimed. “Thank you, Cami, for being yourself!”
Prior to her death, Row posted an update on her health on her private Instagram account on January 11th. At that time, she expressed her belief that God has a plan for her. “A series of surgeries and hospitalizations have left me weak and out of treatment, but I am thankful every day for each second of life.”
“I am healing thanks to God,” she added. “I am so blessed to have all your prayers.”
Row was reared in California’s Orange County. She is a professional psychologist who married Elliott in September 2011. In an interview with City of Hope Hospital in 2023, she stated that she met her spouse in a gym. They had two children: Luna and Liam.
In April 2022, Brennan disclosed that Row had been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer.
In 2024, Row spoke with Orange Coast Magazine on the diagnostic process, telling the publication, “I got my initial diagnosis in 2018, after two years of having reflux pain that wouldn’t go away.”
Although she had previously had heartburn during each of her pregnancies, the agony before her diagnosis was distinct. After performing an endoscopy, a doctor was able to diagnose the problem.
“I was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer, and everyone told me I was so lucky to have caught it early,” said Row, whose children were three and five at the time. “Every doctor stated, ‘We can heal you.’ So I went right to surgery to remove my stomach and 47 lymph nodes.”
Her medical experts advised her that her cancer was unlikely to reoccur. However, in December 2021, a CT scan revealed tumors on her ovaries caused by her stomach cancer. “I went from being a stage 1 survivor to a stage 4 patient overnight. There was a lot to process. A lot of the statistics indicated that I had months to live. “But I wasn’t prepared to die,” she told the magazine.
Elliott publicly addressed his wife’s disease for the first time in April 2022, writing, in part, “Those closest to me know that my wife Cami has had several bouts with cancer in the past, but now she embarks on a new journey as a Stage IV metastatic gastric cancer patient.”
Row told Orange Coast Magazine that she first kept her illness hidden because she didn’t want it to interfere with her husband’s work, but after being diagnosed with stage 4, she felt “a real duty” to fight for stomach cancer victims.

“I didn’t want people to look at me as a sickly cancer patient, but now I feel like I am on a mission to spread awareness and hopefully be an example of a stage 4 patient who is thriving,” she told the 2022 Hope for Stomach Cancer conference. Row, a Korean American, also spoke with City of Hope on the increased stomach cancer rates in South Korea and many other Asian countries.
Elliott told PEOPLE in 2022 that the couple got almost a million prayers in just two days after sharing the news. It was only bananas. It’s a tribute to the fans, the individuals that watch this channel, and the cancer community.”
“I believe that [cancer] has impacted everyone,” he informed me. “It’s a dreadful disease, and it’s obviously dear to my heart, because my wife’s gone through it.”
Elliott told PEOPLE in October, “She’s a fighter, and I’m not just saying that because I’m married to her. I say this because it is incredible to see a woman fight. She fought for her children. She fought for her family.”
Elliott reported in March 2023 that Row’s pathology findings revealed no evidence of malignancy. According to Heavy, Row announced in March 2024 that her cancer had returned. That June, she had another operation.
Elliott said in a post commemorating the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary in 2023, “To say we have been through many lifetimes together would be an understatement.” September 10, 2011, will always be remembered as THAT SPECIAL DAY! Before you, I had no idea what genuine love was. It’s more than a sensation; it’s a promise to battle through anything life throws at you and never give up on love!”
The actor said, “Being by your side going on life’s journey together has been the greatest gift, and I would never want to be attracted to anyone else.”
Row is survived by her spouse and children.
