Caroline Kennedy and her husband Edwin Schlossberg appeared at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary celebration.
On Sunday, February 16, the pair made a rare appearance on the SNL red carpet to commemorate the famed sketch show’s milestone event.
Kennedy, 67, and Schlossberg, 79, who married in 1986, have three children: Rose Schlossberg, Tatiana Schlossberg, and Jack Schlossberg.
The former US Ambassador to Australia’s appearance with Schlossberg, a designer and artist, comes less than a month after Kennedy released a blistering letter opposing her cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s quest for US Health Secretary.
Caroline made a series of claims against Bobby and labeled him a “predator” who is “addicted to attention and power” in a video released by her son, Jack, on Jan. 28, just one day before his confirmation hearings began.
Caroline cited his history of substance usage in one of her accusations, alleging that he helped other family members get addicted.

“It’s no wonder that he keeps birds of prey as pets, as Bobby is a predator. He’s always been magnetic, able to captivate others with the strength of his personality, his willingness to take chances, and defy the norms,” Caroline added. “I watch his younger brothers and cousins follow him down the path of drug addiction.”
“But siblings and cousins that Bobby encouraged down the path of substance abuse suffered addiction, illness, and death, while Bobby has gone on to misrepresent, lie, and cheat his way through life,” she added. Bobby’s brother, David Anthony, and niece, Saoirse Kennedy Hill, both died of overdoses.
Caroline also accused him of animal mistreatment, claiming that Bobby frequently demonstrated how he “put baby chickens and mice in a blender to feed his hawks,” which she described as “a perverse scene of despair and violence.”
In the video, she also said that Bobby willfully exploited the “desperation of parents of sick children” to achieve notoriety and sold anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, despite having vaccinated his own children.
Caroline’s final argument referred to recent reports that President Donald Trump will release the records of her father’s assassination, as well as those of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. She stated that her cousin “continues to grandstand off my father’s assassination and that of his own father.”

“It’s incomprehensible to me that someone willing to exploit his own painful family tragedies for publicity would be put in charge of America’s life and death situations,” she told reporters. “But I am certain that he and my uncle Bobby—who gave their lives in public service to this country—and my uncle Teddy, who devoted his long senate career to the cause of improving health care, would be disgusted.”
Bobby was confirmed as the new Secretary of Health and Human Services on Thursday, February 13, by a vote of 52-48. Only Mitch McConnell split with the Republican Party to reject his candidacy.
SNL50: The Anniversary Special will premiere at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.
