Céline Dion made a surprise appearance at 2024 Grammys, and even sang with Sonyae Elise

It’s not an everyday occurrence for someone to have the opportunity to sing with music icon Céline Dion, but that’s precisely what happened to singer-songwriter Sonyae Elise at the 2024 Grammys.

The Platinum Hit winner, aged 26, shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the awards ceremony on Instagram, revealing an impromptu duet with the “Power of Love” singer, aged 55. Dion showcased her incredible vocals as Elise joined in beside her, capturing a memorable moment during the event.

The montage clip, captioned “Highlights of an ICONIC night,” featured Taylor Swift, SZA, and Victoria Monét. Dion’s surprise appearance at the Grammys came amid her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis. Despite the health challenge, she presented the album of the year award to Taylor Swift and also reunited with industry greats like Stevie Wonder.

Dion’s public return marked a significant moment, especially considering her health journey. Diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in December 2022, she has since focused on her well-being. The upcoming release of her documentary, “I Am: Céline Dion,” on Amazon Prime Video offers fans an intimate look into her life following the diagnosis.
