Céline Dion’s sister gives a very bad report on the singer’s health

Claudette Dion, Céline Dion’s sister, gave a report on her health. The singer of “Power of Love” had to stop her world tour because she has stiff-person syndrome.

Claudette said that their sister Linda is taking care of Céline, who is 55, and working closely with experts to find a cure for her odd disease.

“We can’t find any medicine that works, but having hope is important,” Claudette told SheMazing. She stressed that Céline needed rest because she always tries to do her best when she performs and often goes above and beyond.

She also said, “At some point, your heart and body are trying to tell you something. You should pay attention to it.”

Stiff person syndrome is a rare neurological problem that affects only one in a million people. It causes cramps in the muscles that can’t be stopped.

Céline has been working closely with some of the best researchers in this field, and her family thinks she will find a way to get better that will let her get back on stage. “[Performing] comes naturally to her, and she’s disciplined in every part of her life,” Claudette added.

When she can’t talk to Céline directly, Claudette says she gets information on her health from their other sister, Linda, who is living with the singer at her Las Vegas home at the moment.

When news of the canceled tour came out in May, Céline’s friends came together to show their support for her putting her health first. She had already put off some shows because of the news of the diagnosis, which came out in December 2022.

In an Instagram post, Céline talked about how sad she was that she had to stop her Courage World Tour. She wrote, “It is with great sadness that we have to announce today that the Courage World Tour has been canceled.”

She kept going: “I’m so sorry to let you all down again. I’m trying hard to get my strength back, but traveling is hard even when you’re healthy. It’s not fair to keep putting off the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best to stop everything until I’m ready to go back on stage.”

In the end, the singer said, “I want you all to know that I’m not giving up… I’m looking forward to seeing you again!”

Even though there is no fix for stiff-person syndrome, Céline is working with a team of doctors to manage her symptoms and stay focused on her health and healing.

A person close to the star told US Weekly that the diagnosis “came as a shock, but she hasn’t lost any of her fighting energy and is glad that she knows exactly what she’s dealing with now. It’s good to know that she can get treatments for this condition that will help relieve some of the symptoms.”

During this hard time, we are all thinking of and praying for Céline Dion.
