The police officer in Smyra, Tennessee, filmed an extraordinary act of generosity on social media over the weekend.
Officer Zach Little of the Tennessee Police Department, who was supervising a funeral procession in the heavy rain, said he was “wet to the bone” and “felt horrible for the family who lost two relatives in this funeral.”

Levi, a tiny boy, got out of his mother’s vehicle and approached him while he was drying himself off. Levi held an envelope in his hand.
After thanking the police for his work, he promptly returned to his mother’s vehicle. “I asked his mother, ‘What is this?’ “As they drove away, she [only] said it was an act of charity and begged them to be cautious,” Little wrote.

When he opened the gift, he found one dollar and a message appreciating police officers’ service. The statement started, “To me, you are the bravest men and women I ever know…” and commended the cops for their efforts.
The message went on to say that the young man supported the Back the Blue campaign and wanted to cheer up the officer.

Little appreciated the letter and showed his thanks to Levi and his mother by putting the following note on his Facebook wall: “Thank you, and thank you to his mother for teaching him to LOVE rather than hate!”
