Hollywood actor Neal McDonough recently revealed that his exclusion from Hollywood led him to establish his own film studio. McDonough’s most recognized roles were Malcolm Beck in Yellowstone, Timothy ‘Dum Dum’ Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger, and, most recently, General James Harding in Project Blue Book.
The actor from Yellowstone, who is also a devout Christian, revealed that Hollywood banned him in 2010. He lost everything when he was dismissed from ABC’s Scoundrels TV show for refusing to go against his religion and conduct certain sequences, particularly kissing and adultery.
The actor stated that his religion kept his spirits up throughout this difficult period in his professional life. “I recall going on my knees and asking God, ‘Why have you forgotten about me?” Why am I receiving such harsh punishment? He recalls. “And as soon as those words came out of my mouth, I realized what self-absorbed questions those were,” McDonough told me.

God has given me so much. We all face problems in our lives. “I should be grateful for all the blessings I’ve received,” the actor concluded. As Bounding into Comics reports, McDonough has previously spoken about his reluctance to compromise his beliefs.
McDonough stated in January 2020, “I won’t mention the Lord’s name in vain, and then I won’t kiss another woman.” “Sex scenes are not to my taste.” And I thought, Oh, there are enough s-x scenes out there, and being in my forties, I’m not sure if anyone wants to watch me do it anyhow, but it’s a degree of comfort. “I’m not very comfortable doing that,” he stated then.
I believe the reason I portray so many villainous roles is due to my enjoyment and proficiency in acting, McDonough said. “It’s a God-given talent, so for me to have a career, I have to figure out creatively, smartly, and wisely how I can keep doing what I do,” he told me.

Given his refusal to do those sequences, McDonough makes it a point to make himself recognizable through his wicked portrayals, as he explained to The Christian Post earlier this month. “It’s hard because I’ve done so many different characters and done so many things, and in some of them, I play horrible villains in a lot of the things that I do, and I won’t do kissing scenes, so I have to be the best villain out there,” the actor told me.
McDonough revealed that the major reason he avoids kissing his co-stars is his wife of nearly 20 years, Ruvé. “These lips are meant for one woman,” he said, adding that kissing sequences will no longer be an issue now that the couple has begun their filmmaking venture. The actor tweeted that he now has “that opportunity because Ruvé and I are doing it ourselves and are so blessed to have companies that support us and back us and want to make more films and TV shows, or reality shows, or any kind of show that gives glory to [God].”
“Our objective is not simply to produce a movie but to develop one that glorifies God.” That is our goal, and we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to achieve it, he clarified.
