Is this the bride’s father?
When Neil Crossley, 60, walked down the aisle, he neglected one key detail: the bride.
A member of the wedding site staff stopped Crossley on October 4, just as he was about to reach the altar at Holmfirth Vineyard in Yorkshire, England, and escorted him back to where he should have been waiting while everyone laughed.

“It was just pure miscommunication between my dad and the staff,” the 30-year-old bride, Amy Totty, told SWNS. “He thought they told him to walk when they had actually said wait for me!”
In a video of the comical gaffe, a staff member gasps as Crossley walks down the aisle by himself. The clueless father rushes toward the altar while another staff member jogs behind him. The entire bridal party and guests, including Crossley, burst out laughing as they corrected him and told him to turn back.
“It was just perfect timing because he made me, my husband, and all of our lovely friends and family laugh,” said Amy, who married Harry Totty, 29.

She told the magazine, “I really liked that since I was trying so hard not to weep, and he helped me collect myself. It was a remarkable event that none of us will forget.”
When Crossley walked down the aisle again, he made sure to have the bride at his side.

“After the initial fumble, it just felt very funny to everyone, including myself,” Crossley said, smiling and shrugging in the video when he recognized his error.
He even included a humorous error in his father-of-the-bride speech at the reception.
“The joke I made about the guests thinking I was at the wrong wedding got a huge laugh, so everyone took it in good spirits,” Crossley told me.

Luckily when he got told about his mistake the wedding was able to continue, and it even got a mention in his speech! 🎥 SWNS #wedding #weddingday #marriage #funny #weddingtok ♬ original sound – Daily Mail UK
