Daniel Craig is most likely a household name now. Though Craig has appeared in numerous films during his career, his most well-known role is that of special agent James Bond.
Since the films began filming in the 1960s, the actors who played “007” have gone on to gain considerable recognition and acclaim. Before Craig, Pierce Brosnan played “James Bond.” It’s a prominent post, to be sure, and Craig has done it properly.
Craig has always had a rather quiet existence and, unlike many other A-list celebs, dislikes being in the spotlight when filming is over. However, he has previously used public platforms to express his feelings for his family and his wife. Craig has been married to actress Rachel Weisz since 2011, and they have a child together. Craig has a daughter from his former marriage to Fiona Loudon.
He and Weisz kept their courtship and marriage private for a long time. Though he has kept his life and opinions private for a long time, he does express them in various interviews on occasion.
He recently stated that he does not believe a woman should take on the role of James Bond in the future. Since Craig will no longer be the current Bond, there have been several rumors that a woman may take over the role instead of a male; nevertheless, Craig does not feel this should happen.

“No Time To Die,” Craig’s most current Bond film, is planned to be released on September 30, 2021, after being delayed many times owing to the coronavirus epidemic. According to GQ, this will be his fifth and last Bond film. According to Craig, there was a lot of turbulence during the making of the movie, including the initial director, Danny Boyle, departing, Craig getting hurt, and an explosion on the set, among other problems.
However, after Craig finished filming and made his final bow as James Bond, he admitted to feeling upset about leaving this chapter of his life behind. Craig remembers having to give a speech after his final scene: “I had a whole thing kind of put together in my head that I wanted to say.” I couldn’t get it out of my head.”
Now that Craig has stepped down as James Bond, there is much conjecture about who may take up the role. While some argued that it was now time for a woman to play Bond, this was not a widely held opinion. In an interview with Radio Times, Craig stated that women “deserve their own parts that are just as good.”
He went on to say, “There should simply be better parts for women and actors of color.” “Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?” he said. When it comes to casting the next Bond, this appears to be a decent question to ask.

The concept that a woman should play James Bond has gained steam in recent months, especially in light of the #MeToo movement, which brought forward prior Bond actors who addressed misogyny on the set. According to ELLE, “Die Another Day” actress Halle Berry and producer Barbara Broccoli were among those who shouted out.
Indeed, Pierce Brosnan expressed support for a female Bond in 2019, stating, “I think we’ve watched the guys do it for the last 40 years,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Move over, guys, and put a woman up there.” I believe it would be amazing and exciting.”
Furthermore, British actor Lashana Lynch will take over Bond’s 007 identity in the forthcoming film, fueling rumors that the next Bond may be a woman.
Lynch told the Guardian, “With Bond, it could be a man or a woman.” They may be white, black, Asian, or of mixed ethnicity. They might be either young or old. At the end of the day, even if a two-year-old played Bond, everyone would throng to the cinema to watch what this two-year-old would do, wouldn’t they?’

Broccoli, on the other hand, has stated unequivocally: “I always feel that Bond is a male character; that is a fact.” “We have to make movies about women and women’s stories, but we have to create female characters, not just turn a male character into a woman for a gimmick,” she stated in 2019, according to Harper’s Bazaar, during an interview on “Good Morning Britain.” This indicates that a female James Bond is unlikely to appear in the future.
