Delta flight made emergency landing because of unexpected occasion…

With soaring ticket prices, frequent waits, and packed seats, flying may sometimes feel like a bad deal these days.

Consider travelers on a recent Delta trip who were forced to return after another passenger had diarrhea “all the way through the plane.”

As if being trapped in a pressurized compartment 30,000 feet in the air with this fecal outpouring wasn’t horrible enough, the pilot had to make an emergency landing due to the troublesome poonami.

The aircraft had just been in the air for two hours after leaving Atlanta when the nameless passenger experienced a fairly explosive bowel movement.

The weather was so terrible that the Airbus A350 plane was forced to return to Barcelona, with the pilot narrating to Air Traffic Control how the skies opened on September 1.

Even more embarrassing for the unknown passenger, we might not have heard about the problem if it hadn’t been for a Twitter user who posted a tape of the chat.

The Delta pilot can be heard indicating in the brief chat that they would make an emergency landing back in Atlanta.

“This is a biohazard situation,” he informs air traffic control, adding, “We had a passenger who had diarrhea all the way through the plane, so they want us to return to Atlanta.”

The name of the unfortunate traveler is understandably unknown, but other regular passengers have provided a few facts about the harrowing journey.

In response to the video, one Twitter user claimed that their boyfriend was on the aircraft and mentioned that the cabin personnel applied scented disinfectant.

Given that they couldn’t open a window, you may think this was a decent answer, but it didn’t have the desired impact.

“My business partner was on that flight! It was rather awful. It dribbled down the aisle and smelled awful,” the customer stated.

They went on to say, “The vanilla-scented disinfectant used on it only made it smell like vanilla s***.”

Fortunately, they didn’t linger too long in the air.

“After the plane landed, it was thoroughly cleaned,” the user tweeted. They didn’t depart until around 2:30 a.m.”

Customers and personnel were relocated to another airplane (airplane DL194) after touching down in Georgia, which landed in sunny Spain over eight hours later.

Hopefully, the unfortunate person was able to reschedule their flight.

According to a Delta representative, “Delta flight 194 from Atlanta to Barcelona returned to Atlanta due to an onboard medical issue.”

“Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to clean the plane and get our customers to their destination. We sincerely regret the inconvenience and delay in their trip arrangements.”
