Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson dies at 79. Details revealed…

Phil Robertson, the Duck Dynasty star, has died. He was 79.

The reality star’s family confirmed the news in a series of social media posts on Sunday, May 25, months after revealing in December that he had Alzheimer’s disease.

Jase Robertson, Phil’s son, paid his respects on X by saying, “My father has gone to be with the Lord today!” We will miss him, but we know he is in wonderful hands, and our family is doing well because God is so good! We shall see him again!” said Sadie Robertson Huff, Phil’s granddaughter, in an Instagram post commemorating his passing with a collection of images of their renowned family over the years.

In a combined Instagram post, Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie Robertson, said, “We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.”

“Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life,” the couple said, adding, “We know so many of you love him and have been impacted by his life.” We’re holding a private service for now, but we’ll announce a public celebration of his life shortly.”

Phil’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis was initially revealed on the December 6 edition of the Unashamed with the Robertson Family podcast. At the time, Jase stated that his father was in the “early stages” of the sickness.

He went on to say that his father’s Alzheimer’s has “accelerated and is causing problems with his entire body” and that he’s simply not doing well. “He’s really struggling.”

Months later, on an April 2 edition of the podcast, Jase talked further about his father’s health issues, telling listeners that Phil was “not good.”

He went on to say, “We are making him comfortable and trying our best. I believe that is precisely what you do.

Duck Dynasty, which was broadcast on A&E, featured members of the Robertson family, including Phil and Kay Robertson, three of their sons, Jase, Willie, and Jep, as well as numerous grandkids and a number of their workers, as they worked together at their family business, Duck Commander.

The show concluded in 2017 after 11 seasons, although it inspired several spinoffs, including Going Si-Ral, Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty, At Home with the Robertsons, and Duck Family Treasure. In January, A&E announced that the show would return under the title Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

The Robertson family has grown since the famous show ended, with many of the younger cast members raising their kids.

Phil, a Louisiana native and the founder and president of Duck Commander, established the family business in 1972 with a now-patented duck call. He married Kay at the age of 17, when she got pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Duck Dynasty: The Revival is set to broadcast on A&E this summer.
