In the television series Duck Dynasty, Uncle Si Robertson is gearing up for lung surgery due to health challenges he’s faced over the past eighteen months. Despite being 74 years old, he remains optimistic about the upcoming procedure and confidently states that he’ll soon be regaling everyone with his lively anecdotes once it’s completed.

Si Robertson has openly acknowledged, particularly on several episodes of the “Duck Call Room” podcast, that his smoking habit has played a role in his compromised lung health and respiratory issues. Additionally, he grapples with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), making his early 2021 COVID-19 diagnosis especially concerning. Over time, he expressed apprehensions about overcoming COVID, a concern raised by both his loved ones and those involved in broadcasting his podcast, who felt he missed opportunities to improve his situation.

Surgery is imminent, and in an email, he shares, “It seems like I’ve been given the green light for lung surgery, but there are a few more steps we need to take first.” He adds, “Once that’s done, I’ll have even more stories to share, each one guaranteed to be over ninety-five percent accurate.”
