Eric “Badlands” Booker wows judges with record-breaking chug on America’s Got Talent 2025

Eric Booker, a retired NYC subway conductor, took the stage and lit it up with a performance that was met with three red Xs, but it didn’t stop the audience from going crazy. The audience sprang to their feet and cheered as if they were in a crowded subway vehicle at rush hour. Even Simon Cowell, trapped between regulations and sheer ability, found himself defending his red button as the other judges fought to stop the madness—all to keep watching the miracle emerge.

On the Season 20 debut of America’s Got Talent, former New York City subway conductor Eric “Badlands” Booker wowed both the judges and the crowd with his exceptional beverage-chugging abilities. Known as “Badlands” in the competitive eating scene, Booker astonished everyone with his unique skill.

He transitioned from the subway tracks to the center stage.
Booker worked as a subway conductor in Queens, New York, for many years before gaining fame. However, his interest in competitive eating and beverage chugging pushed him to go a different path. Over the years, he has set several records, including seven major league eating milestones and three Guinness World Records. His accomplishments also include four wins in the Nathan’s Lemonade Chugging Contest.

CT: Extreme drinking.

Judges’ vote: No.

Booker, a retired New York City subway conductor, evidently enjoyed grossing out the judges with his ability to drink pickle juice, hot dog water, creamed corn, and spicy sauce, but it was little more than a party trick. Mel B was so taken aback by the ploy that, after pushing her own X, she pressed Vergara’s and Mandel’s, and finally Cowell’s when he attempted to keep her away.
