Eric Roberts has opened up about being told not to talk about his daughter Emma Roberts, or his sister Julia Roberts

During an episode of the podcast Still Here Hollywood, the actor answered questions about his famous sister Julia.

Julia Roberts was formerly one of Hollywood’s most recognizable superstars, but she now apparently wants to avoid the spotlight.

Eric, the star’s brother, emphasized the importance of her privacy during his participation in the program.

When asked about Julia, he remained tight-lipped and did not reveal anything.

He said, “You’ll have to ask her.” I adore my sister, but I cannot talk about her. She does not want to talk about it.

Julia was apparently upset over Eric’s upcoming biography, Runaway Train, or The Story of My Life So Far, which is due out in September.

Eric’s sister isn’t the only one who has ordered him to stay quiet about her; his daughter Emma Roberts has also apparently told him not to talk about her publicly.

Eric stated that Emma had “told me not to talk about her” and admitted, “I tripped and do.”

He went on, “I shouldn’t talk about either of them, but I do.”
The actor went on to explain why he can’t stop talking about his sister, and especially their kid.

He replied, “I’m really enjoying my daughter’s job right now. I can’t believe how brilliant she has gotten. I’m so proud of her, I can’t see straight.”

The actor added: “Since her performance in Maybe I Do until now, she has overwhelmed me with pride and made me think, ‘Oh my God, here she goes again.'”

“And I’m so thrilled to be her father, because she’s kicking ass. And I’m quite proud.”

Eric also commented on the ‘nepo baby’ controversy surrounding Emma, claiming that he contributed ‘absolutely nothing’ to her Hollywood success.

Emma has already sparked controversy by claiming that she has ‘lost more employment than I’ve gained by being in the company.’

She explained why she felt that way, saying, “Individuals have ideas, and sometimes they’re not positive thoughts of people in your family.

“I’ve never gotten a job because of it; I know I have lost a couple of jobs because of it.”
