Of course, the subject of UFOs has been discussed for many decades.
However, tales of an alleged UFO sighting earlier this year garnered headlines.
According to local TV station 8 News, an object seen in the sky was captured on the bodycam footage of a police officer at about 11:50 p.m. local time on April 30, with its flash seen as far away as Utah and California.
A man who lives about 80 miles from Area 51 made a fairly unsettling phone call less than 40 minutes after the original encounter.
After dialing 911, the guy stated that two strange things appeared in his garden, and shortly after he and his family saw a similar item in the sky.
“There’s like an 8-foot person beside it, and another one is inside us, and it has big eyes and it’s looking at us—and it’s still there,” the horrified guy told police.
Following months of derision, the family has stayed nameless since the claims earlier this year, with police even having to install security cameras at their home for their own protection.
The Kenmores are sticking by their claim after speaking with Inside Edition about the UFO incident.

“I believe I saw something that wasn’t from Earth,” remarked Joshua Kenmore.
The family reportedly added more specifics to their account, claiming to have seen a black Chevrolet Suburban with ‘government plates on it’ shortly after seeing the suspected aliens.
Angel, the elder boy, talked about the unexpected attention his family has gotten since that truly incredible day in June.
Strangers have been at the property to see if they can see a possible UFO encounter, with some even climbing over their fence, he claims.
Sam Ryan Heidari, an attorney, was even hired by the family to sue any trespassers.
The Kenmore family sat at the kitchen table for an interview with Inside Edition, and the presenter asked them to draw what they remembered of their possible extraterrestrial sighting.

Bobby saw that the aliens lacked a nose and had strange glowing, antenna-like ears.
Meanwhile, Angel used a gray pencil to color in his extraterrestrial, claiming he wanted to keep it as authentic as possible to what he had seen.
He also mentioned the creature having one bent leg and a ball of light beside it.
Inside Edition quoted Heidari as saying, “I believe they believe it was real.”
“They didn’t want that publicity,” he adds. They just did one thing: they reported it to the police.”
