*NSYNC has reunited and is preparing to release its first single in two decades, with the announcement coming just hours after they appeared together at the MTV Video Music Awards

Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass have reunited to record a new song called Better Place for the forthcoming film Trolls 3: Trolls Band Together. You may listen to a sample of the song here:

Rumors of a reunion have been circulating for several weeks, and they were fueled further when the band appeared on stage together at the VMAs this week, when they presented Taylor Swift with the award for Best Pop Video.

To be honest, Swift looked to be more pleased about the band’s reunion than her prize, as she was spotted leaping up from her seat, yelling and applauding for them—apparently in absolute astonishment that they were back again.

Swift also seemed to believe that the band was up to something when she asked the men, “Are you doing something?” “What will happen now?”

She couldn’t take it any longer, telling the gathering of music enthusiasts and celebrities, “They’re doing something, and I need to know what it is.”

The fivesome fueled speculation about a new song by sharing a tape in which they lip-synced a Friends episode in which Joey Tribbiani and Rachel Green covertly interrogate each other.

“Do you know something?” Timberlake could be spotted lip-syncing to Joey’s sentence. Chasez responded with Rachel, stating, “I might know something, too.”

“What’s the thing you know?” Bass inquired. “Oh no,” Timberlake said, “I can’t tell you until you tell me what you know.”

Kirkpatrick concludes the tape by saying, “Well, then, I can’t tell you what I know.”

Chasez shrugged his shoulders and lip-synced, “OK, fine.”

As you can expect, fans of the band were ecstatic, with one going to X to declare, “September 29, 2023, *NSYNC will release a new song called Better Place.” Take a look at it. Then go back and read it again. Allow it to soak in.”

Another user commented, “NSYNC FANS!! This is not a PRACTICE!! NEW MUSIC IS ON THE WAY!”

“Omg, we’ve got an official date!” remarked a third. “New NSYNC song!”

Someone else commented, “New *NSYNC song… for the first time in 20 years… God is real, coming out three days after my birthday?”

The first time will be better. NSYNC has been releasing music since 2002, and you can hear it for yourself on September 29 when it becomes accessible for download or streaming, while Trolls 3: Trolls Band Together comes out on November 17.
