Fans block cameras from Liam Payne’s father as he visits the hotel where his son died

Payne’s father has been paying respect to his late son outside the hotel where he died.
Payne, 31, tragically fell from the third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, October 16.
Following the discovery of his corpse in the hotel garden, the musician died from numerous wounds and “internal and external hemorrhage.”

His father, Geoff Payne, has now traveled to Argentina to arrange for his son’s return, according to the Associated Press.
He joined supporters in their condolences as he strolled in and out of the Casa Sur Hotel.
“Geoff paused occasionally to put on his glasses to read the notes written in English and picked up the pictures to kiss them,” Sky journalist Martha Kelner reported.
“He also thanked fans for being there.”
On social media, footage of Geoff exiting his taxi and entering the hotel shows followers ‘stopping’ paparazzi from snapping photographs.
On X, a supporter commented: “Liam’s fans are fighting with the paparazzi to protect his privacy at this time, putting up their hands and backpacks so they can’t take pictures.”

“My heart goes out to Liam Payne’s family during this tragic time; it’s commendable that his fans are standing up against the paparazzi to protect his privacy and show their support,” she said.
“A heartbreaking circumstance.” It’s great to see fans coming together to protect his family’s privacy during this difficult time,” another fan tweeted.

Kelner also stated that Geoff was not permitted to enter the actual room, which is currently an active investigation scene, but was shown a room with a similar layout.
“He earlier visited the morgue to confirm the identity of his son and the prosecutor’s office to arrange for his repatriation to the UK,” she said.
Payne rose to prominence on The X Factor, alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, when One Direction was formed.
Simon Cowell broke his silence in a tribute on Instagram last night, stating he was “very sad.”
“This is so tough to put into words right now. I walked outdoors today and thought of all the moments we spent together. I wanted to share with you what I typically say to the hundreds of people who ask me questions. “What’s Liam like?” he wrote.
“I would convey to them your qualities of kindness, humor, consideration, talent, modesty, and drive.” And how much did you enjoy music? You showed true affection for your supporters. At the age of 14, I informed you that the moment wasn’t right. We both promised to meet again in the future. Many individuals would have given up. You did not. You returned, and within months, the entire world knew Liam.”
