Father discovers that his twin sons are actually his brothers

Harry was surprised when medical testing proved that the twin boys he had raised as sons were not his. Furious, he returned home to face his wife, only to discover a revelation that would destroy his family forever. Harry grinned as he watched his sons giggle at something in the pediatrician’s office. “Dr. Dennison,” Harry stood up anxiously as the doctor arrived.

“Hi, Mr. Campbell. “Please take a seat,” said the doctor, shaking Harry’s hand and sitting across from him. “I genuinely wanted to speak with you in private, Mr. Campbell. “The boys can wait outside.”

Harry’s heart raced, wondering whether the news was awful. Although his boys were twins, Josh had significant anemia, so Dr. Dennison recommended more testing and urged Harry to have a blood test in case a transfusion was required. Fortunately, his other kid, Andrew, was completely healthy.

“So, do we have a final clarification on how to proceed?” As the boys left, Harry, feeling agitated, questioned the doctor.

“Calm down, Mr. Campbell,” said Dr. Dennison, leaning back in his chair. “Right now, my main concern is not Josh. Yes, he has an iron deficiency, but we’ll start with supplements, possibly intravenously. I wanted to speak with you about something else. Harry exhaled with a sense of relief. His son’s condition was not severe.

“Mr. Campbell, did you adopt the boys?” the doctor inquired, causing a chill to run down Harry’s spine. “This might be sensitive, but your blood type doesn’t match the boys’.”

“Well, it isn’t that unusual, right? I mean, in many circumstances, biological parents are unable to give to their children since they are a product of two individuals,” Harry explained.

“Yes, sir. The doctor recognized that some biological parents are unable to contribute”. But what I mean is that you cannot be the boys’ father. Blood type is not the most important criterion in confirming paternity; however, both of your twins have blood type A. “You and your wife are both B.”

“What… But this is impossible,” Harry said under his breath.

“I apologize, sir. I saw these findings a few days ago, so I went ahead and ran a DNA test on your samples as well. “I know this is difficult to hear, but there’s more,” stated the doctor, shoving a few more pieces of paperwork toward Harry.

Harry looked at the doctor in surprise as he gathered papers to peruse. There were many medical phrases he didn’t understand, but the words “half-siblings” in the records sprang out at him.

Harry gazed up at Dr. Dennison, stunned. “That’s correct, Mr. Campbell. Andrew and Josh are officially your half-siblings, not sons.”

Harry could not believe it. The children he had reared for twelve years were not his. In reality, they had to be his father’s, implying Nancy had been with him. But it made no sense. She was already pregnant when he presented her to his parents. Harry took longer to get out of the car after they arrived home. Suddenly, he heard his boys screaming, “Grandpa!” “We missed you!”

Harry clenched his fists hard, his eyes blazing. However, he couldn’t burst into the house and face his father and wife because Josh and Andrew would be present. So he feigned a grin as he entered.

“What are you doing here, Dad?” he said firmly.

However, he did not even wait for his father to react. The wrath Harry had suppressed all the way from the doctor’s office was boiling in his blood. “Boys, weren’t you going to Bobby’s house for a game night?” He forced a smile as he turned to face the lads.

“Okay, Daddy!” Andrew, let us go!” As the lads got their controllers and exited the home, Harry lost his calm.

“Did you sleep with my father, Nancy?” He exploded at his wife.

Nancy’s face became pallid.

“Son, look, it’s not what you think,” his father, Robert, said. But Harry wasn’t listening.

“DNA doesn’t lie, Nancy!” He scowled at his wife. “I want to know the truth!”

Nancy could not look her spouse in the eyes. “Harry has every right to be angry,” she assured herself as she reflected on that terrible night 13 years ago… Nancy was loving the pulse of the music as she strolled through the dance floor to the bar area. While waiting for her beverages, she caught a whiff of costly male scent.

Nancy looked to her left and saw a man with gray hair and a strong jawline staring at her. “Can I buy you a drink?” he boldly inquired, and Nancy was charmed by the attention. The man was twice her age, yet he was really beautiful.

“I’m already getting something for my girlfriends!” she nearly yelled at him across the loud music.

”Oh, you’re on a girls’ vacation with your friends?” the man said, smiling charmingly as he approached her.

Nancy didn’t notice when the bartender served her shots. “I’m Nancy.”

“Robert,” he answered.

The next thing they knew, they were kissing on the elevator, and Nancy awoke the next morning in his bed. They had breakfast and spoke for a bit until Robert announced that he had to depart.

Nancy knew she’d never see him again, but that was okay. Her trip to Las Vegas had been exciting and intense, just what she had hoped for. Three weeks later, Nancy discovered she was pregnant and regretted the one-night encounter.

Nancy did not want to end the pregnancy because she feared she might be unable to conceive later. So she left the gynecologist’s office, unsure where to go or what to do. But she badly needed to speak with someone. So, feeling lost and devastated, Nancy confided in her friend Anna.

“Don’t tell me you’re having the kid alone!” I mean, come on, is there no way you can contact that Vegas guy?”

“Nope,” Nancy moaned.

“Hey, ladies!” A masculine voice interrupted their serious discourse just then. “I’m Oliver, and this is my friend Harry.” We spotted you two being extremely serious here, so we decided to come over and cheer you up.”

Nancy was too gracious to push the lads away, and Anna realized Oliver was rather attractive. She went to the dance floor with him, leaving Harry and Nancy to converse for hours.

“Hey, Nancy, let’s go to the ladies’ room,” she said abruptly, interrupting their talk. Nancy excused herself and joined Anna. “Sleep with him.” He appears pleasant. That was just three weeks ago in Las Vegas. “He’ll never know,” she informed her in the restroom.

Initially, Nancy refused. She would not commit something so heinous. She had a job and a degree; she could become a single mother. But the idea of her kid having a father altered Nancy’s mind, and she ended up sleeping with Harry that night.
A few months later, Harry proposed to Nancy by uttering the three magic words. Nancy instantly agreed, and they shared a kiss. Everything was wonderful.

“They’re going to love you,” Harry assured her as they stood on his parents’ front porch a few days later. He was finally presenting her to his parents.

“Oh my God.” They’re going to be mad,” she murmured, massaging her stomach, but Harry insisted everything would be alright. The door opened to a booming voice, and Harry’s mother, Miriam, embraced him with outstretched arms. Nancy got into problems after smelling an intoxicating scent.

“Dad, this is my fiancé,” Harry said as he moved back from his father, revealing Robert. “But, as you can see, there’s another surprise in store,” Harry said, bringing Nancy to his side as they entered the home. “We’re having twins!”

Miriam, Harry’s mother, was the image of happiness, embracing Nancy closely in her hug and paying close attention to her stomach.

“She should see your baby pictures, Harry!” Miriam said. She and Harry ultimately departed to get the baby album, leaving Nancy and Robert alone.

“Nancy, is it—” Robert began, but she stopped him short.

“They are Harry’s. I didn’t realize he was your son. However, these are his children. Let’s do as they say: ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’.”

Robert and Nancy resolved to keep the one-night stand a secret between them.

Present-day…

“Tell me, Dad!” Harry burst. “How come our pediatrician of several years had to notify me that my sons are my SIBLINGS?” How did this happen?”

“It happened in Vegas,” Robert grumbled and defected.

“Vegas…” Harry murmured. “Remember the trip you took with Anna and your friends a few weeks before you met me, and we slept together?” Harry murmured.

Nancy could only nod.

“Did you know you were pregnant already?” he said aggressively.

“Yes,” she said, lowering her head.

“You baby-trapped me, but not even with my babies!” Harry shouted.

“Son, I’m sorry,” Robert said. “In my defense, she told me they were yours.”

“You’re a monster!” Nancy shouted at him. “You knew! You cannot place the full blame on me!”

They began squabbling, and Harry had a flashback to past occasions when they weren’t as furious. He reflected on his lads. He had brown eyes like his father, although Harry and Nancy both had blue eyes. He hadn’t questioned it before, but he should have.

“They will never know you are their real father!” Nancy shrieked at Robert, and Harry stroked his neck, thinking deeply.

“Grandpa is our father?” Josh asked. They all turned in terror toward the entryway, where the twins and their buddy, Bobby, stood.

“Dad?” Andrew turned to face Harry, who attempted to grin but couldn’t. The poker face he had kept after the appointment with Dr. Dennison wouldn’t come off, and his boys could see the truth in his eyes.

“I’m sorry,” he mumbled to the twins, exhausted.
