I think I’ve seen this a hundred times. Those harmonies are still so captivating to me. Whoa. Boy bands have always enchanted music fans, but it’s a unique pleasure when such youthful artists, who are only in their double digits, are able to enthrall audiences everywhere.
Here comes Bring It North, a young group of boys from the north of England who are between the ages of ten and twelve. A forward-thinking music educator gathered these young people together with the goal of creating something completely original.
Their appearance on the stage of Britain’s Got Talent was a major turning point in their journey. And they’ve created quite a stir! On their official YouTube channel, the quintet—Max Ferguson, 10; Toby McTurk, 11; Harry Steel, 11; Felix Yates, 11; and Oscar Williams, 12—showcased their vocal skills by singing a beautiful version of “A Million Dreams” from “The Greatest Showman.”
As their video description indicates, they have a special place in their hearts for this specific arrangement, which was created for their Britain’s Got Talent semi-final performance. They never got to perform it on television. The video showcases each guy’s unique skills, culminating in a stirring five-part harmony that has come to define Bring It North. Their trip got off to a wonderful start when they were unanimously approved by the judges for their first audition, which featured Elton John’s “Electricity.”
They have been improving their craft ever since, all the while attracting attention from a global audience. One judge, Alesha Dixon, said, “You’re so cute, and I hope you inspire many young boys to do something they’re passionate about.” Many others who have seen their performances agree with this encouragement. Even though they are young, these lads demonstrate a level of musicianship that defies their age, incorporating a complexity into their vocals that many more experienced musicians aim for.
