Flat-earther embarks on Antarctic trip to establish his thesis, only to discover something ‘unexpected’

A renowned YouTuber and ‘Flat Earther’ traveled to Antarctica to test his claims, only to discover that the earth is very spherical.

Many pseudoscience and conspiracy ideas have come and gone throughout the years, but none have had the same enduring impact as the ‘Flat Earth’ claim.

Human comprehension of our home planet’s roundness stretches back to ancient Greek philosophers; nonetheless, despite overwhelming proof, people who believe we live on a gigantic floating circle continue to share their opinions.

But no one has ever been able to persuade a Flat Earther that parts of their beliefs are not totally correct… until today.

Enter The Final Experiment, a collaborative initiative between Flat Earthers and Round Earthers who want to settle the argument once and for all.

The test is simple: the group, which includes many YouTubers, traveled all the way to Antarctica this month with the objective of seeing a 24-hour sun on the continent.

The presence of a 24-hour sun would clearly establish that the planet is round, as the phenomenon would not exist on a flat earth.

The results are in, and they show (spoiler alert) that the Earth has always been and will always be a spherical, 3D ball.

Most of us knew this already, but that wasn’t the goal of the experiment.

So, how did the Flat Earth contingent respond to the news? Try to deny what happened, or even say they weren’t brought to Antarctica?

This time, content creator Jeran Campanella publicly acknowledged his error.

Campanella, renowned for his channel Jeranism, is a vocal Flat Earth advocate who decided to embark on the costly journey to resolve the argument.

Campanella appeared on a livestream after experiencing the 24-hour sun, telling the camera, “Alright guys, sometimes you are wrong in life.”

“I thought that there was no 24-hour sun; in fact, I was pretty sure of it, but I respect Will Duffy [the ‘glober’ who paid for his trip] for being a standup guy—at least in the way that he kept saying it was true, I kept saying it wasn’t.”

Campanella said his views had changed, “Don’t listen to my thoughts or opinions—they shouldn’t matter to you—but at least you should be able to recognize that the sun circles the southern continent as these men indicated.

That’s about it; I’m aware that people will call me a shill [an ex-Flat Earther who tries to convince people that the earth is round] for simply expressing that, but you know what? If you are a shill for being honest, then so be it—I sincerely believed that there was no 24-hour sun, but I now genuinely believe there is. That’s it.”

The debate has been decided.
