After learning of further concerns about his behavior over the weekend, TV chef Gino D’Acampo asked ITV to get in touch with him.
Gino D’Acampo has encouraged ITV to contact him after new complaints of ‘crude’ conduct on the set of his television series surfaced this weekend.
The TV chef is claimed to be ‘very concerned’ about the ‘escalating distress’ the charges are causing for his family. Gino, who has three children with his wife Jessica, said he would completely comply with the inquiry and asked his employers to contact him.
I am a celebrity and frequently appear on This Morning. Get me out of here! Winner came under fire earlier this month after ITV News revealed that scores of former employees and freelancers made claims about working with Gino, calling his behavior over a claimed 12-year span “unacceptable,” “distressing,” and “horrendous.”.
The 48-year-old star firmly rejects the claims, leading to the withdrawal of Gino’s programs from the ITV schedule.
This weekend, a new accusation surfaced, with Gino accused of sketching a graphic image of a lady while recording one of his ITV broadcasts. A producer who worked with him on the show Saturday Cooks! told The Sun: “During live filming, he picked up a pad and paper and asked to draw a picture of me in front of the rest of the production team on the studio floor.” I assumed it was going to be a harmless caricature. But when he showed me the final drawing, I was horrified and ashamed.
The woman also alleges that D’Acampo made a vulgar remark about Mary Berry, the star of the Great British Bake Off.
Gino’s team responded to the Mirror’s claims last night with the following statement: “Mr. D’Acampo was first made aware of these allegations relating to events that are said to have occurred over 17 years ago on the afternoon of Saturday, 22nd February, when he was emailed by The Sun on Sunday. There have been no facts offered, only highly broad claims without a particular year or person specified, and no context indicated. None of these charges have ever been brought to his notice before; he has no recollection of them, and he does not identify the allegations or the actions alleged to him. He disputes the charges. The Sun on Sunday informed him that they stem from a complaint filed with ITV in December 2024. If that’s the case, he asks ITV to contact him and promises complete cooperation. He is profoundly concerned about the great and rising grief that these claims are causing for his family.”
The allegation originates from purported incidents in 2007 and 2008, which ITV became aware of in December 2024.
In response to Gino, ITV informed The Mirror: “”ITV is totally dedicated to establishing an atmosphere in which everyone is treated with respect and feels able to contribute their all. We have improved these procedures over the previous five years and will establish a dedicated Complaints Handling Unit in 2024 to address any complaints we get regarding on-screen presenters and ensure ITV has a unified perspective across all productions.

“ITV’s expectations for conduct are extremely clear. Everyone who works with ITV is subject to the Code of Ethics and Conduct. At ITV, we treat everyone with decency, fairness, dignity, and respect, and we refuse to accept any sort of workplace abuse. We have also restated our expectations of our on-screen presenters’ behavior through our Conduct and Standards Guidelines for On-screen Personalities, established in 2024.
The conduct described in this news release is unprofessional and unacceptable. Our dedication lies in conducting an appropriate investigation of complaints in accordance with our established processes.”
A spokeswoman for D’Acampo told The Sun that he has nothing but respect and affection for Mary Berry and that they have always had an excellent working relationship. None of these charges were previously brought to his notice, and he has no recollection of them. He disputes the charges.
Reruns of earlier episodes starring Gino have been removed from the ITV schedule following complaints of improper behavior leveled against the television chef.
In a statement to the station, D’Acampo “firmly denied” the charges, adding they were “simply not in my nature” and “deeply upsetting.”. Following the charges, repetitions of the game show Family Fortunes, hosted by D’Acampo, will not be re-broadcast, including one episode on ITV2 at 7pm and another on Monday at the same time.
Two episodes of the gastronomic travel show Gino’s Italy: Secrets Of The South, which airs on ITVbe from 6pm to 7pm on Sunday, will also be pulled from the future schedule.
Instead of Secrets Of The South, ITVBe will air Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes on Sunday, while Wheel Of Fortune, hosted by Graham Norton, will air during prior Family Fortunes times on Friday and Monday.

The Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) described the allegations as “deeply concerning.”. In a statement, Bectu’s CEO, Philippa Childs, described the claims against D’Acampo as “very serious, as is the significant time period they span.”. “That at least one production company was reportedly aware of the crew’s concerns about his behavior but continued to work with him should be of particular concern, and it is imperative that ITV investigates this,” she further said.
Additionally, Ms. Childs stated that “in a sector where power imbalances can be particularly extreme, it’s critical that people feel empowered to come forward with concerns, without fear that their careers will be adversely impacted,” as well as a “radical step-change” must occur inside the business.
D’Acampo’s legal team provided ITV News with a statement from him, saying, “I have never been made aware of these topics before, and the claims are categorically refuted. I would never do something that I believed might disturb or harm someone. This is just not in my nature. I do not recognize the version of events presented to me. Not only have these charges never been made against me before, but I have been regularly supported by high-level executives and commissioned on prime-time shows throughout the time when it is now claimed I was acting improperly.
“I am a father and husband and have worked with over 1,500 people on approximately 80 productions in my career, which I am extremely proud of.” I take such concerns very seriously, and the notion that I acted improperly against is highly disturbing.”
His legal team stated that he “categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior” and that “to his knowledge no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on Gino’s Italian Express” and that he views the allegations “to be a fabricated work of fiction.”.
An ITV representative stated that its production firms “have the primary responsibility for the duty of care of everyone they work with, both on and off screen when making shows.”.
The representative further stated that the claimed behavior is “inappropriate and unacceptable” and that “the majority of them were not reported to ITV at the time.”Where complaints have been addressed with ITV, action has been taken,” they stated.
MultiStory Media, which produced the ITV show Gino’s Italian Express, stated that it would be “inappropriate to go into the detail of individual concerns” but that it was “reviewing the concerns that have been raised, what was known at the time, and what action was taken.”.
It also stated that it will “look at any new concerns that have come to light” and has not worked with D’Acampo in six years.

According to ITV News, he allegedly made sexual remarks to a woman while working on a magazine shoot with D’Acampo in 2011, two women accused him of making sexual remarks while working on the ITV travel show Gordon, Gino, and Fred’s Road Trip in 2018, and a separate woman claimed she witnessed him threatening a young colleague during a TV production in 2019.
The report also stated that management at Objective Media Group, who co-produced Gordon, Gino, and Fred’s Road Trip, were aware of the issues in 2018, with an email received by the broadcaster, dated last year, revealing “unacceptable and distressing” behavior by D’Acampo.
Objective Media Group stated that it “takes the welfare and well-being of all its production staff and teams incredibly seriously” and includes “behavioral clauses in talent contracts” as well as “behavioral training for on-screen talent.”.
In a statement to ITV News, Studio Ramsay, which produced the show Gino’s Italian Family Adventure and co-produced Gordon, Gino, and Fred’s Road Trip, stated that it takes “all allegations of inappropriate behavior and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigates, and takes appropriate remedial action when warranted.”
D’Acampo, who began his television career in the early 2000s as a judge on ITV’s food competition Too Many Cooks, has been on This Morning and other ITV shows often. He hosted a remake of the ITV game show Family Fortunes from 2020 to 2023. It aired on ITV from 1980 to 2002 and starred Bob Monkhouse, Max Bygraves, and Les Dennis.
