A grandma in her seventies stunned the judges and the studio audience with her epic “Rapper’s Delight” performance on The Voice.

Whether they like to acknowledge it or not, everyone makes hasty judgments about others. These rapid assumptions might be based on a single encounter or simply a single glance. That is why, when we go to job interviews, we are often urged to “dress to impress” and “dress for the job you want,” and even something as basic as a handshake has become so important.

Regardless of how we arrive at those early judgments, they are usually incorrect. Usually, we modify our thoughts after a brief interaction with that person. One brief movie shared on YouTube exemplifies how most people’s judgments and expectations are utterly incorrect.

Bette Reynolds, a 76-year-old grandma, tried out for The Voice UK. Given her age, most people would anticipate her to perform Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or a comparable song. But that is not what occurred.

Bette delivered a terrific and surprising audition, performing “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang. Anyone who knows the song understands that it is not like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. “Rapper’s Delight” is a rap song that is regarded as one of the genre’s earliest examples.

The 76-year-old grandmother never misses a note or speaks incorrectly! Instead, shortly after she begins her act, the whole studio audience cheers and applauds. The cameras also show each of the judges fully appreciating Bette’s wonderful performance. Bette even convinces a couple of judges to turn their chairs around for her. When it comes time to evaluate her audition, all of the judges applaud the old woman, telling her how much they appreciated her performance.

However, “Rapper’s Delight” was not the only song Bette sang before exiting the stage. She also did a duet with Will. I am a member of the Black Eyed Peas.
