Guy spends $70,000 getting his entire body, including his eyeballs, tattooed to reveal his previous appearance…

TikTok phenomenon Quest Gulliford, a cancer survivor with an enormous collection of tattoos, is making waves with his viral video, which shows not only his full-body tattooing but also his daring colored eyeballs.

Gulliford, a victorious Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor, has spent $70,000 on tattoos since starting his inked adventure in 2009. His most recent TikTok video takes viewers on a sensory trip as he describes the process of getting an eyeball tattoo, which needs extensive mental preparation.

Gulliford expressed the high stakes involved in the process, saying, “It was definitely high risk, high reward, especially since I’ve wanted it done for so long… and I’m still very happy with it three years later.”

The financial commitment to his unique style of self-expression exceeds $70,000, with an incredible $10,000 dedicated only to the change of his eyes.

Gulliford described the mental fortitude required on the day of the eyeball tattoo in Houston, Texas, saying, “It took me a long time to even psych myself up to get it done.” The unconventional procedure involves inserting a needle into both sides of the eyeball, which is more akin to an injection or alteration than a typical skin tattoo.

In an unexpected twist, Gulliford disclosed plans to return to the same tattoo artist next month to improve his eye ink, demonstrating his dedication to pushing the limits of self-expression.

Gulliford proudly wears ink that represents his victory over cancer among the enormous tapestry of tattoos decorating his body. From the first tattoo—a cross on his chest with the words ‘God First”—to a heartbreaking purple cancer ribbon commemorating his seventh-grade battle with Hodgkins lymphoma, each one tells a tale of perseverance.

Gulliford recalled the health ordeal that led to his tattoos, saying, “I had a big lymph node growing…” I didn’t think much of it. It was around six months of chemotherapy. “I felt like I had superhuman strength after that experience.”

In a 2019 interview with Inked, Gulliford revealed that when he was 18, he began getting face tattoos, which his mother originally opposed. While she gradually accepted smaller face tattoos, the spread of ink onto a bigger canvas raised her concerns, leading to interventions at tattoo shops to discourage artists from larger facial tattoos.

Quest Gulliford’s unabashed path of self-expression, punctuated by triumph over hardship, continues to captivate audiences, demonstrating that sometimes the most astonishing stories are inscribed on our skin.
