On Saturday, the 51-year-old actress shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, showcasing moments from a family trip to Mexico for the holidays. The post, captioned with a Mexican flag emoji, features Paltrow, Apple (19), and Moses (17) soaking up the sun.

In the first photo, Paltrow, clad in white shorts and what seems to be a white bikini top, smiles alongside Apple, who wears a black maxi dress, as they pose on a beach at sunset. The subsequent images capture Apple and Moses donning sunglasses and bathing suits while lounging on a boat in the water. Apple strikes a pose in her black dress in the third photo, and the final image appears to capture Moses in a contemplative moment, facing the water under a red and orange sky.

Reflecting on motherhood in a November cover story for PEOPLE, the Goop founder acknowledged the profound impact it had on her life and career. “It’s kind of ironic because I really stepped away from acting when Apple was born. The last time I was in every scene of a movie was when I was pregnant with her,” she shared.

Paltrow considers herself a fortunate mom and believes her open and honest approach to parenting has played a role in avoiding the challenges of the “horrible teen thing.” She expressed her love for the teenage years, mentioning that Apple is approaching her twenties, which she finds hard to believe.
