Harrison Ford had one thing to say to Shrinking co-star Jason Segel after seeing his picture in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which had some NSFW humor.
Anyone who knows Ford knows that, while he may be cruel at times, the Indiana Jones actor is also quite honest when addressing a range of topics, including his career and Donald Trump thanking him for his performance in Air Force One, to which he replied that it was ‘a movie.’
And Ford had no trouble giving Segel his extraordinarily honest response after watching 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, in which the How I Met Your Mother star goes full frontal.
In the film, Segel plays a movie composer who is crushed when his actor love, Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), rejects him, and he flies to Hawaii to recover.

Segel told Variety that he and his pal, Seth Rogen, approached Ford to see if he would be interested in playing Dr. Paul Rhoades on his TV program, Shrinking.
“We got Harrison Ford because Harrison Ford is the kind of person you make an offer to so that for three days you can say, ‘We’ve offered to purchase Harrison Ford,’ and then you’ll pick the real guy.”
He went on to explain that Ford “didn’t know anything about” Segel at the time, but that changed once he read the script for Shrinking.
Ford received some of Segel’s past work, including Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And those who have watched the film will recall a moment in which Segel’s character stands completely nude in the center of the room following their split.
After seeing it, Ford, of course, had something to say and contacted Shrinking’s producer, Bill Lawrence.
“Then, reportedly, Bill Lawrence received a text that read, ‘I’m in. And tell the youngster, “Great d**k.” Segel recalled to Variety.
Rogen immediately responded, “Even if he was out, it would be fantastic. I would accept that.”

Segel told Vulture that he found filming that scene in 2015 to be funny. I wasn’t very uncomfortable doing it. I actually felt liberated.
“Keep in mind that this was 2006 or 2007, and as far as I know, no one had done this before: the main character was naked in the first five minutes.”
Interestingly, Segel experienced a similarly unusual breakup in real life.
“She arrived at the house, and I had decided that the way to really kick off this sex was that I was waiting on the couch totally naked, like posed,” the actor previously stated on Conan O’Brien’s Needs A Friend podcast.
“So when she walked in, I was lying there, and I said, ‘I’ve got a surprise for you,’ but then she replied, ‘We need to talk.'”
That effectively ended the relationship.
