Heartbroken father speaks out after his newborn daughter was k*lled by family dog: ‘I would give my life to get my baby back’

A parent in Ohio has spoken out only days after his family dog murdered his young daughter.

“I’d give my life to bring my baby back,” Kameron Turner posted on Facebook the day after the death of his seven-month-old daughter Elizah.

The tragic attack took place on the morning of April 9 at a Columbus house.

The Columbus Police Department released body camera footage showing a man greeting the attending officer and stating that a dog had mauled a baby at the residence that morning.

He can then be seen telling the police that he had caught one of the dogs in a black vehicle and that there were two more on the property.

The timestamp on the body camera video indicates that cops arrived at the site just after 11:30 a.m. that morning.

A representative for the Franklin County Coroner’s Office declared Elizah Turner dead at 11:43 a.m. that day.

That representative also verified that a parent took the child to a local fire station before transporting it to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

According to the spokesman, Dr. Jennifer Melvin declared Elizah dead immediately after the infant arrived at the hospital.

Franklin Animal Control is investigating the incident and has taken care of the three dogs found on the premises, according to Sgt. James Fuqua of the CPD.

Franklin Animal Control did not return a request for comment.

The girl’s parents have already established fundraisers to help with the funeral costs. The couple has a four-year-old kid.

On his Facebook page, the young girl’s father continues to express how awful the situation has been.

“All I want to say is to everyone who has babies, please hold them tight and never leave their side,” Turner says in one message. “This pain is so unbearable.”

He also says the family was excited to start a new chapter in their new home when this tragedy struck.

“We have a long road ahead of us, and I don’t understand why God put us through this s***. Turner says, “It’s going to be the worst road ahead of us; s*** has not stopped.” “I just don’t understand why people who do right have to go through this pain.”
