Hilary Duff is cherishing the bliss of her newborn baby bubble!
On Tuesday, May 7, the 36-year-old star of How I Met Your Father shared an adorable photo on her Instagram Stories, cuddling her baby girl Townes, whom she and husband Matthew Koma welcomed on Friday, May 3.
In the sweet snap, Duff cradled the newborn on her chest, smiling as she looked up. She captioned the image with “Townsie gahhh.”
Baby Townes could be seen peacefully snoozing on her mom’s chest, dressed in a green onesie adorned with colorful images.

Duff’s post followed her announcement on Instagram of her baby’s arrival earlier that day. Alongside photos of her home water birth, she wrote, “Townes Meadow Bair 🧸 , now we know why she made us wait so long… She was perfecting those Cheeks!”
“I Have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months and the past 5 days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you has been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty,” Duff added.
Duff and Koma, 36, who exchanged vows in 2019, are also proud parents to daughters Mae James, 3, and Banks Violet, 5. Additionally, Duff has a son, Luca Cruz, 12, with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
Ahead of welcoming their newest family member, Duff shared multiple photos on Instagram last month featuring their family of five. “Some random pics of the 5 of us before that changes foreverrrrr,” she captioned the post.

Days before posting these images, Duff announced on her Instagram Stories that she would no longer be responding to texts or DMs about “when the baby is coming.”
“I know everyone is checking in with love and humor, however, trust me…nobody wants it more than me!!!!! Babies come when they are ready. I am trying my best to be patient!” she wrote. “The days are long and uncomfortable. Promise I will let you know. ❤️.”
Duff confirmed her pregnancy with Koma via their family Christmas card, which featured a photo of her cradling her stomach in December 2023.
“So much for silent nights. Love, the Duff-Bair-Comrie Crew,” read the front of the card, while the back stated, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”
