Husband secretly manufactures a high-tech wheelchair for his disabled wife

Brad Soden has been through a lot in his life. The former US soldier not only fought in the first Iraq War but also saved countless lives as a firefighter once his duty was over.

Brad, his wife Liz, and their three children reside in Phoenix, Arizona. For a long period, Brad lived his dream. But everything changed on August 15, 1999, the day the catastrophe happened. Brad and Liz were traveling with their children in their vehicle. Liz was driving when her left front tire exploded. She lost control of her automobile and went off the road.

Fortunately, the couple’s three youngsters suffered just minor bruising. Brad’s injuries were severe; he shattered his leg. But Liz’s situation was tragic: she shattered her back and became paralyzed from the waist down.

Liz was hurried to the hospital for surgery, and when she awoke, her physicians revealed her diagnosis. Liz believed her life was finished. She believed Brad, her boyfriend at the time, would leave her for a “normal woman.”

How did Brad respond? He went down on his knee and proposed right there in the hospital. Of course, Liz answered “yes,” and the pair married shortly thereafter.

Liz’s path to recovery was lengthy, but her entire family supported her along the way.

Liz is a tough lady, but adjusting to her new life in a wheelchair was exceedingly challenging. This was particularly challenging because hiking was one of the family’s favorite pastimes.

Liz attempted to follow behind after the accident, but she soon realized that her wheelchair would never be able to navigate the rough terrain she enjoyed hiking on. When the family was out following a moose trail, Liz was obliged to wait behind on the level road.

With tears in her eyes, she begged her family to keep going. That vision devastated Brad’s heart, and he vowed never to let it happen again. Brad served in the army as a maintenance mechanic, where he was in charge of keeping tanks clean.

His employment led him to create a unique wheelchair for Liz, one that could go off-road and allow Liz to travel with the rest of the family. But it was easier said than done.

Brad spent days in the garage. He didn’t go outside very often on certain days, and he occasionally lost patience.

The neighbors and Liz had become used to the loud noise emanating from the garage. Brad’s challenge? To create a quiet electric engine that could operate in the woods and at campsites.

Brad had finally discovered the solution after many hours of searching. He summoned Liz to the garage and presented her with a unique wheelchair replete with tank treads!

Brad’s innovation received widespread attention. The all-terrain wheelchair pleased, among others, the executives of the high-tech firm NPC Robotics.

The corporation backed Brad and created a prototype based on his design. Liz’s new wheelchair is equipped with current technology, making it quiet, swift, and suitable for off-road travel.

Brad and the kids now struggle to keep up with Liz during family hikes.

What an excellent innovation! Brad has not only demonstrated his immense love for Liz, but also his inventiveness and will to conquer any obstacle!

What a wonderful example of how to support your loved ones! If someone in your family falls, assist them in getting back up!
