When we hear the word ‘hero,’ we instantly envision a strong or physically fit individual in his prime.

And when we think about heroism, the first images that come to mind are usually of heroes saving others from a burning building or a disaster.

But the lovely thing about heroism is that it does not rely just on man but rather on the circumstances. Anyone may be a hero if they are willing to answer the call of the situation at hand.

Despite her advanced age, the 87-year-old unidentified woman from Massachusetts is a hero in her own right. Her skin was wrinkled, and her bones weren’t as strong as they used to be, but that didn’t stop her from trying her best to aid others.

The mother, who wished to remain nameless, was thinking about the children who were battling the bitter cold of the winter season. With their well-being in mind, the 87-year-old woman did all she could to assist them by knitting.

The unnamed old lady sewed 75 hats to keep the youngsters in her neighborhood warm. Each hat she crafted took her a full day to finish. She began knitting long before the chilly temperatures of winter arrived.

Some may find it tiresome, but for the elderly lady, knitting every day is well worth the time and effort when you consider the youngsters who will benefit from it.

The unidentified old woman’s daughter gathered the 75 hats and stowed them in plastic bags once they were completed.

Later, she carried it to Nelson Memorial Park in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and draped it across the park’s fence for the kids to grab and use to keep warm.

The unknown woman’s noble and brave gesture went viral and created waves online. After all, it’s not every day that a lady knits 75 hats and leaves them for anybody to wear in a park.

Several news outlets picked up on the touching tale. It touched people’s hearts and brought a smile to their faces.

“I enjoy doing them. “I think it’s entertaining.” The unidentified elderly woman described why she enjoys crocheting hats for those in need.

Even though many people want to know who the old lady behind the 75 knitted hats is, the kind lady prefers to remain anonymous.

“I just like to stay in the background.” In an interview, the elderly lady revealed. “It makes me feel good that I can do something for someone.”

The toddlers were not the only ones who benefited from the free hat that the elderly woman sewed; she apparently also provides them to homeless shelters.

The elderly lady may not have been able to keep her robust bones or young strength. Her pure and compassionate heart, however, remained unchanged. As a result, she serves as an uplifting reminder that everyone has something to contribute to others in need!
