The Robinsons purchased a home in a remote place with the intention of establishing a farm.
Mrs. Robinson was expecting her second child, a boy, within four months. As soon as they moved into their new home, they began preparing the child’s room for the arrival of the new family member.
Because they lived in an apartment where the owner did not allow them to have a dog, the Robinsons, who are animal enthusiasts, now want at least one puppy. The couple went to an animal shelter with their 6-year-old son, Matias, to pick out a puppy. They want a puppy that will not be hostile and will grow up with the farm’s youngsters. They were unsure which puppy to choose after seeing the paddocks and hearing the tragic stories of various canines.

They met a 4-year-old pit bull named Benson towards the end of their stay. He sat back with his tail between his knees and his head bent as if he had entirely lost faith in mankind. The Robinsons inquired about Benson’s background, and the animal shelter workers informed them that Benson had a tragic existence. He was used in dog fights before being abandoned on the streets, where he was discovered by volunteers. Benson was adopted by a couple after spending time at the dog shelter, but he was returned to the shelter after only two weeks because he is violent with his owners and has behavioral issues.

Even though the volunteers advised against adopting Benson from a family with children, Mr. Robinson persisted in giving Benson an opportunity, so they adopted him. Even getting to the car was tough because Benson was not used to walking on a leash, but they made it home in the end. Benson was distant, shy, and distrustful at the beginning. Benson, on the other hand, gradually adjusted and formed bonds with all members of the family, particularly Matias.
They brought the kid home after Mrs. Robinson gave birth and introduced him to Benson. He scented the infant and tenderly licked his cheek. The owners realized right away that Benson was a beautiful dog and that the two would get along well.
When the child was only two months old, Benson’s loud barking woke the Robinsons up in the middle of the night. He barked continuously and attempted to reach the baby’s crib, but was unable to get past the crib’s safety bars. He began biting the crib in an attempt to reach the infant. The Robinsons were initially terrified, believing that Benson was attempting to harm the baby, but as they took the infant into their arms, they realized that the baby was no longer breathing.

He was transported to a local hospital, where doctors were able to revive him. The doctor informed the parents that if the infant had been in cardiorespiratory arrest for more than 30 minutes, he would have perished. Benson became a hero and demonstrated that nothing happens by chance. The Robinsons rescued Benson, a dog no one wanted, and Benson saved their baby’s life.
