Musa Motha, a South African amputee dancer, has conquered the obstacles to become an amazing worldwide award-winning artist. Motha, who was born and raised in Johannesburg, began his adventure when he was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 11. Despite having his left leg amputated, Motha’s love of soccer led him to find his love of dancing.

Musa’s audition for Britain’s Got Talent in 2023 made history when he was awarded the first-ever Golden Buzzer. This is the point at which all of the judges believe that the artist deserves to proceed to live performances.

Motha began as a street dancer in 2010 and swiftly rose to prominence, appearing in music videos such as Drake’s “One Dance.” He joined Vuyani Dance Theatre in 2018, where he learned contemporary, afro-fusion, tap dance, and ballet. Motha’s talent has led to international tours and appearances in fashion and art publications, foreign newspapers, and television interviews. Motha’s narrative is more than just dancing. He is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, DJ, photographer, filmmaker, dog trainer, automobile modificationist, and investor. Motha, who speaks Sotho, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, and English, hopes to inspire people with disabilities and break down social preconceptions.
