The judges leaned back, arms folded, as the 17-year-old approached the microphone. He started rather slowly. Skeptical looks flickered. This didn’t look encouraging.
Then, suddenly, everything changed. He nailed the following note, and his voice erupted—raw, soulful, and electrifying. Murmurs morphed into gasps. Heads snapped up. The room, which had before been dull, was suddenly alive with activity.
The judges were on the verge of dismissing him when the chorus began. What began as a whisper quickly became a shout, and the last note left no one indifferent to what they had just witnessed.

Daniel Joyner is an accomplished vocalist from Alamo, Tennessee. His life as a small-town singer was rather average until he blew everyone away on America’s Got Talent. And, we have to say, this 17-year-old singer has the most beautiful voice.
Daniel enters the stage as a normal-looking teen with an innocent expression. The judges definitely did not anticipate this beautiful youngster to be so brilliant. Initially, it is evident that they believe his performance is too soft, too sluggish, and lacking in flair.

He sings “Try a Little Tenderness,” a timeless soul ballad written by Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly, and Harry M. Woods in 1932. It has been performed by several musicians, including Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin, and is noted for its deep, passionate sound and compelling message about the importance of understanding and compassion in relationships. However, at first glance, Daniel does not appear to be exuding passion or strength.
However, his sluggish and gentle start is broken by the rhythm of a trumpet, and he surprises everyone by coming out with a pretty loud voice. His performance even moved Simon Cowell, a testament to the quality of his voice. In an instant, the judges choose him for another round.
