Jason Bateman reveals how close his dear friend Jennifer Aniston is to his kids.
The 56-year-old actor told Vanity Fair for their latest feature on the Friends actress that Aniston is extremely close to his two children, Francesca (18) and Maple (13), whom he has with wife Amanda Anka. In fact, Bateman describes Aniston as more of a “co-mom” to Anka than a friend or aunt.
“She almost makes us parents look bad because she’s so incredibly attentive and consistent with her curiosity and warmth,” the Arrested Development actor told the outlet of Aniston, whom he met while costarring on a ’90s series with her pal.
“Jennifer is the first to contact or text about significant dates in the girls’ lives, and she also has questions about their boyfriends,” he said.
When questioned if she is an aunt to his girls, Bateman responded, “Aunts you may not see all the time. She and Amanda are almost like co-mothers. She has been a part of their lives since they were born.”

“It is odd for them to even understand the public Jennifer Aniston,” according to him.
Aniston has also offered her wardrobe to Bateman’s children. When they were on vacation together, the actress remembered seeing Francesca in one of her bikinis.
“Well, that’s my bikini. Your youngster is now wearing one of my bikinis. Whoa. Aniston joked, “We’ve come a long way.”
Aniston and Bateman frequently go on trips together. The two were recently sighted with Bateman’s wife, Anka; Amy Schumer; and Aniston’s reported new love interest, Jim Curtis, on a boat in Mallorca.
Although Bateman and his wife want to keep their family life secret, the actor and his daughter, Maple, were seen sitting courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game in May 2023, hanging out with Jason Sudeikis and his son Otis.
The Ozark star dressed casually for the excursion, wearing gray trousers and a blue denim jacket with a purple Lakers hat. His daughter looked athletic and stylish in a pair of white joggers, a black T-shirt, and basketball shoes.
