Jennifer Aniston and beau Jim Curtis went out for a casual yet sophisticated New York City date night.

The couple, who have been dating since July, were photographed headed to dinner in the city on Friday, September 5. Aniston, 56, wore a white T-shirt with light blue trousers, a fitting tan jacket, a black leather purse, and black flip-flops.

She finished the casual look with gold hoop earrings and an understated nude manicure, and her hair was styled in long, loose waves.

Curtis donned a brown jacket, a white shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers.

In August, a source told PEOPLE that Aniston is “in a great place” and that Curtis is bringing out new aspects in her.

“Jim is excellent. Her closest pals adore him. “He’s fantastic to be around,” the person stated. “He exudes this calm and safe spirit. Jen likes it.”

The insider claims that the Friends actress was accustomed to operating at a high speed while juggling multiple projects, but Curtis has helped her slow down and introspect, enabling her to appreciate and take pride in her accomplishments truly.

“She may be really hard on herself… “He supports her in a new way,” the person added.

“He feels very safe for her,” the insider said, adding that things are still in the “early” stages.

Aniston has been introducing Curtis to several of her closest friends over the last month, and they’ve been seen on double dates in New York City and Los Angeles.

Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, took the pair on a three-hour double date in New York’s West Village neighborhood.

Days later, they were pictured leaving Nobu in Malibu, Calif., alongside Courteney Cox and her longtime lover, Johnny McDaid.
