The Daredevil star has been chastised for statements she made on Dinner Party: My American Experience.
According to Netflix, the celebs will sit down to ‘explore their heritage, patriotism, religion, and the difficulties of modern America’ throughout the show.
Despite the fact that the show aired in 2017, the tape of the exchange has reappeared, with many fans criticizing the actor online.
The Netflix episode features a slew of celebrities, like Rob Riggle, Mary McCormack, and Dan Savage, who describe their origins.
It should have been a lighthearted time among the A-listers, with comedian Chelsea Handler at the helm.
Things don’t always go as planned during dinner gatherings.
Regina King, an actress, begins reliving her youth in Los Angeles, proudly assuring other guests that she was ‘born and bred’ in the city.
“It’s, I think, a very cool thing,” she continues, “and I kind of wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people say, ‘Oh, LA is this and LA is that,’ and I’m like, Well, you’re not from LA, so you don’t really know it.”

Garner then adds, “But do you know where your ancestors are from?”
King attempts to shrug off the topic, saying, “Well, yes. They were involved in the triangular slave trade.” I’m from Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal, but both of my parents are from the South.”
There was a lot of outrage when the clip recently reappeared and 15.6 million Twitter users saw it.
One commenter on the now-viral video accused the 13 Going On 30 star of racism for her answer to King.

“Jennifer Garner, a white woman from Texas, asking an African American woman where her ancestors came from because Regina said she is a LA native is completely racist and disgusting,” they said.
“Regina is better than me,” they continued. If she had asked me that at this dinner table, things would have gone really NASTY.”
Another slammed the actress, writing, “Jennifer Garner is so trash for that question, and Regina King is the GOAT for her response.”
Soon after, a third person said that the star had “killed her good girl rep” with the remark, adding, “Some people need to just sit there and eat their food and mind their business.”
