On Saturday, July 13, the singer and actress was photographed shopping in the Hamptons with her stepdaughter Violet Affleck, carrying a Hermès Kelly picnic bag made of straw and brown leather.

A TikTok user took a video of Lopez, 55, departing a business with the bag perched on her arm, mentioning that a pre-owned version of the bag costs $70,000. The video has now gone viral, garnering 1.2 million views and prompting remarks about the bag’s high price.

“Wearing my annual salary,” someone said. “You can find that purse in Fiji for $5 on the street,” another comment said.

While some criticized the bag’s price, others defended the singer’s right to spend her own money.
