When John Cena isn’t bodyslamming opponents in the wrestling arena or starring in blockbuster films, he’s doing something even more incredible.
He’s been a wish-granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 2004, making wishes come true for chronically sick children.
What do you think?
Cena holds the record for granting the most wishes in the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 42-year existence.
He has reached an incredible milestone, granting over 650 wishes!
“I just drop everything,” Cena explained to KTLA.
“If I can offer a fantastic experience, I’ll be first in line to do my part.”
Cena does more than simply speak the talk; he walks the walk.
But here’s the kicker: the families and children adore Cena as much as he adores assisting them.
In fact, according to Make-A-Wish, he is the most requested star.
That’s a lot of love flowing both ways!
“The reason I love Make-A-Wish so much is because those are those families’ wishes,” he said.
“You can do whatever you want, and Make-A-Wish’s list is extensive.” ‘I want to kick it with John Cena and go see him wrestle,’ is the most awesome thing I’ve ever heard.”
Cena said that while he is helping to provide joy and comfort to countless families, the sentiments are mutual.
“All those things considered, I love all that—I love that joy, I love that connection,” he went on to say.
Cena’s influence does not stop after the desire is granted.
Families frequently write him notes in which they express how important it is for their children to spend time with him, sometimes in the final days of their lives.
“Those are always difficult to read,” he said, “but they’re very special.”
Cena isn’t only spreading happiness; he’s also receiving it.
“I love that joy; I love that connection,” he went on to say.
It’s a win-win situation in which everyone’s hearts are a bit larger.
Cena recently paid a visit to a 19-year-old Down syndrome fan.
Cena, according to this young guy, gave him the confidence to flee Ukraine during the Russian invasion.
They met in the Netherlands, and it was a family dream come true.
Cena has said unequivocally that his charitable work is his priority.
“If you ever need me for this, I don’t care what I’m doing; I will drop what I’m doing and be involved,” he told the crowd.
“That’s the same gift I get from giving back to people’s lives and being able to give them wonderful emotional moments.”
That’s all there is to it, guys. John Cena is a celebrity not only in the ring but also in the hearts of hundreds of children and their families.
