Jolie-Pitt’s eldest daughter shows off dozens of piercings on a recent public appearance with her famous mom, and her transformation is amazing

The eldest child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has undergone a remarkable transformation over the years. She was once a seldom-seen youngster, but today she proudly displays hundreds of piercings and her own distinct style.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wowed audiences when their whirlwind affair began in the early 2000s. The Hollywood pair, who met while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” immediately became one of the most recognizable couples in show business.

Over the years, their family grew through both biological children and adoptions, each of which made headlines. In 2005, they adopted Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt from an Ethiopian orphanage to join their growing family.

The pair later discussed their affection for the African country and their desire to impart a profound respect for Zahara’s heritage. Fast forward nearly two decades, and Zahara is a young lady on her own journey.

In December 2024, Zahara traveled to Paris with her mother to film one of her most recent projects, “Stitches.” Zahara’s brother, Pax, accompanied the two as they left the scene.

Although the actress looked stunning in a long black coat and elegant bags, Zahara was the star of the show. Although she wore casual jeans, a v-neck sweater, and a brown coat, her piercings captured the most attention.

According to sources, her face jewelry comprised a nose stud, a septum ring, and many hoops and studs in her ears, indicating that she is adopting a strong and edgy look. Zahara’s passion for jewelry, particularly earrings, and self-expression has been clear for years.

Angelina took Zahara, then six, and her younger daughter Shiloh, then five, to a London salon to get their ears pierced, according to reports in 2011. Zahara, who went first, allegedly yelled in anguish during the procedure.

Shiloh opted not to get her ears pierced after seeing her sister’s response. The actress’s action ignited a debate over what age is suitable for youngsters to have piercings.

Despite the criticism, Zahara’s interest in jewelry and self-expression has only grown over time.

In 2019, she presented her own jewelry collection, Zahara Collection, during the Los Angeles premiere of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” The then-14-year-old adorned her black gown with earrings, bracelets, and rings from her personal collection.

The line, a collaboration with jeweler Robert Procop, was available at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations in the United States and Australia. A press release indicated that all earnings from the collection will go to a Los Angeles-based group that offers transitional shelter for abusive women and children.

Her jewelry line showed not just her inventiveness but also her desire to make a difference in the world, characteristics she most likely acquired from her mother.

Angelina has been active in a number of philanthropic initiatives over the years and has talked publicly about the necessity of humanitarian work, particularly in Africa. Zahara looks to be following in her footsteps, utilizing her platform to support important causes.

Zahara revealed at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards that she had at least 12 piercings in one ear and 14 in the other. Her various ear piercings, which included tiny hoops and studs, stood out, and a septum piercing provided a modern, edgy look.

Her nose and septum are among her estimated 28 visible piercings. She had her hair pulled back in a stylish, wavy updo, with smooth baby hairs artfully arranged around her hairline.

Zahara went for minimum makeup to showcase her natural beauty, and her jewelry was subtle yet eye-catching, matching her exquisite clothing. Her clothing, a white gown embellished with black flower embroidery, was both timeless and modern, adding to her classy and effortless appeal.

Interestingly, multiple piercings on Angelina suggest that the mother-daughter duo may have a taste for edgy accessories. Zahara’s visits are infrequent, but when they do come, they make a big splash.

Since 2022, she has been a student at Spelman Institution, a prominent historically Black institution in Atlanta. Zahara’s decision to attend Spelman was essential because it allowed her to connect deeper with her African roots.

Angelina marked the occasion with a beautiful Instagram photo showcasing Zahara surrounded by her Spelman sisters. “Congratulations to all new students starting this year,” she wrote in part. “Being a new Spelman girl is an honor and a very special place.”

Zahara’s choice of education and membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, a historically Black sorority, indicated her dedication to embracing her identity. During the “Bullet Train” premiere, Zahara’s father expressed his satisfaction by saying, “Yeah, that’s lovely.” “Very beautiful.”

Despite her famous family name, Zahara looks to be forging her own identity and emerging from her parents’ shadows. In fact, she made waves when she eliminated Pitt from her surname after joining Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Zahara has developed a strong connection to her roots over the years, owing in part to Angelina’s efforts to keep her daughter linked to Ethiopia. In 2019, the family traveled to Ethiopia to celebrate the New Year and meet with Sahle-Work Zewde, the country’s first female president.

It was an especially significant trip for Zahara because Angelina has long supported programs in Ethiopia through the Zahara Program, which focuses on education and healthcare in the region.

The “Maria” star once expressed how much she had learned from Zahara, adding, “My daughter is from Ethiopia, and I have learned so much from her.” She is not only a member of my family, but also a wonderful African lady, whose unique relationship to her nation and continent is something I can only admire.

Her relationship with her mother has grown stronger over the years, particularly in 2020, following Zahara’s health crisis, which Angelina shared in a letter commemorating International Women’s Day that year.

The actress said that her kids had undergone surgery, saying, “I have spent the last two months in and out of surgeries with my eldest daughter, and just days ago, I watched her younger sister go under the knife for a hip surgery.”

Angelina complimented Zahara and Shiloh’s courage and bravery during that difficult period, noting that they had consented to share their experience in order to inspire others experiencing similar challenges.

“They understand that I am writing this because I value their privacy, and we discussed it together. They recognize that overcoming medical obstacles and striving to survive and heal is something to be proud of,” she said.

Angelina Jolie gave more attention to her kids, saying, “I find myself focusing on my daughters for a moment and all that I have learned from them and other young girls I have met around the world.”

She ended with a forceful remark, encouraging girls to “fight on” and “never let anyone tell you that you are not precious, special, and, above all, equal.”

Zahara has grown from a tiny kid strolling red carpets with her family to a confident young woman happily showing her own style. Her experiences, history, and family support have all helped form her journey.
