Kindergarten boy, who was recently adopted, decided to celebrate this occasion in interesting way that surprised both Judges and foster parents

Michael Clark Jr. wanted to invite his entire kindergarten class for the best reason: he was assisting his foster parents in organizing his adoption day.

He explained to his new father, “You know, the class is kind of my family.”

His teacher at Wealthy Elementary School in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, made it possible, and on Thursday, she and Michael’s classmates waved red hearts as they watched Andrea Melvin and Dave Eaton adopt him formally.

His instructor, Kerry McKee, remarked, “We started the school year as a family.” Family is support and love; it need not be based on genetics.”

Each of Michael’s classmates stood up in front of Judge Patricia Gardner and explained why they were there and why they shared Michael’s passion.

Put a little love in your heart, was Ms. McKee’s advice. “When we help others, we rise.”

After a year of living with his foster parents, Michael became a permanent member of their family on Thursday, just in time for Christmas. He enjoys spending time with his buddies while also enjoying sports like basketball and soccer, dancing, and swimming.

This particular kindergarten class’s field trip will live long in their memories.
