Lara Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, has landed a new, precedent-setting position as a Fox News host.
On February 22, Lara, 42, who is married to Trump’s second son, Eric, will begin presenting a new weekend show on Fox News, according to The New York Times.
My View with Lara Trump will appear on Saturdays from 9 to 10 p.m. ET, according to a press release from Fox News Channel.
“Every week, the program will feature big picture analysis and interviews with thought leaders, shedding light on the headlines driving the national conversation and affecting families around the country,” according to the news release.

Lara has previously worked with Fox News. She became a paid contributor for the network in March 2021. She quit in December 2022, as Trump began his third presidential campaign for 2024.
Though Lara is the first known family member of a sitting president to host a television program, a number of other political relatives, including Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush; Meghan McCain, daughter of late Sen. John McCain; and Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have also worked in the media.
Fox News Channel is overjoyed to have Lara join the network, marking the first time a sitting president’s relative has hosted a program.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott described Lara as “a gifted communicator who knows how to connect with the viewers, a successful entrepreneur, and a working mother.” She stated in the announcement that “Lara’s innate understanding of the American public and today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup.”

Lara stated in the announcement, “I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to FOX News, speak directly with the American people, and showcase what makes our country so wonderful. As I chronicle the success of The Golden Age of America, I am excited to see where this moment will take our country and me in the future.”
Lara is well-versed in Republican politics. During her father-in-law’s most recent presidential campaign, she served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, a position she held until the 2024 election.
The New York Times reports that she departed her employment in January.
Lara formerly worked as a campaign strategist for Trump’s presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020, as well as a producer for Inside Edition for numerous years.
Lara married Eric in 2014. The couple met six years ago through mutual acquaintances and have two children: son Eric “Luke” Jr. and daughter Carolina Dorothy.
