Elvis Presley’s death more than 40 years ago shocked the globe, and his admirers were crushed when he died. His music, on the other hand, lives on via his daughter Lisa Marie Presley, who just recorded a duet with her father titled “Where No One Stands Alone.”
The song is a heartfelt and passionate homage to a musical great.
Lisa Marie’s ability is shown in the song, which is part of a new Elvis collection celebrating gospel music.
The song is one of 14 on the album, which features songs from his albums “How Great Thou Art” (1967) and “He Touched Me” (1972), as well as new instrumentation and vocals from Darlene Love and Cissy Houston.
The duet with Lisa Marie on a 1967 song is meaningful to the late singer’s daughter, as she described in the album’s liner notes: “It was a very powerful and moving experience to sing with my father.”
“The lyrics speak to me and touch my soul,” she said. I’m sure the songs spoke to my father in a similar manner.”
Lyrics to “No One Stands Alone”:

Once I stood in the night
With my head bowed low
In the darkness as black as could be
And my heart felt alone and I cried oh Lord
Don’t hide your face from me
Like a king I may live in a palace so tall
With great riches to call my own
But I don’t know a thing
In this whole wide world
That’s worse than being alone
Hold my hand all the way, every hour every day
Come here to the great unknown
Take my hand, let me stand
Where no one stands alone
Take my hand, let me stand
Where no one stands alone
Lisa Marie went on to describe her father’s passion for gospel music, telling audiences, “This was his favorite genre — no doubt about it.”
While singing gospel, he seemed to be at his most enthusiastic and at ease. He’d come to life, whether he was singing for himself and me at home or on stage in front of thousands of people.”
Lisa Marie spoke about her father on the British chat program Lorraine, saying, “I wouldn’t say I speak to him. Everything is fresh in my mind.
I can kind of grab whatever memories I have from the files and things like that. And, on occasion, seek assistance. This was the situation with this song.
“I just felt like a hand came down to me; it felt a little like that.”
As a consequence, she and her father perform a strong duet.

Among those who commented on the music video were some major admirers, as one individual noted: “Elvis could perform country, gospel, blues, and rock & roll… Most artists nowadays can only work in one style. It’s no surprise he’s known as “The King.”
“Her producer said the entire crew was crying during rehearsal; they had to stop because Lisa was crying,” another user added. There was the Holy Spirit! I know there are no tears in paradise, but I saw happy tears in Elvis’ eyes today. He’d be very proud of her, I’m sure. This is fantastic.”
