Lisa Rinna has stated that her late mother made the decision to leave “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Rinna told the Evening Standard’s ES Magazine that a vision of her mother, Lois Rinna, who died at the age of 93 in 2021, appeared to her one night and encouraged her to end the Bravo reality show.
“She came to see me,” Rinna explained.
“It’s so strange because half the world will believe it, and the other half will say, ‘That’s so strange,'” she said. “I was sleeping and heard her say to me, ‘It’s time for you to go.'”
The former “Days of Our Lives” star revealed that she sought the advice of a psychic, who verified her mother’s prophecy.
“I told a psychic about it, and she said, ‘Oh yeah, she’s come to me and told me that.'” She wants you to be happy and pursue your dreams, but she believes it is time for you to go.’ Except for the psychic, I’ve never told anyone.”

She continued, “My mother definitely serves as my guide.”
Rinna announced her departure from “RHOBH” in January of this year. She did not give a reason for her departure at the time but stated in a statement that appearing on the show was “the longest job I have held in my 35-year career” and that it “had been a fun eight-year run.”
However, Rinna admitted to ES that the way viewers are now interacting with the show had some influence on her.
“I think the world has become so volatile that the reaction doesn’t match what we’re doing,” she said. “I didn’t want to live that way. That is not healthy, in my opinion. The fan base’s reaction to the program now is not the same as it was when I initially started.”
“I mean, we were getting death threats,” she concluded. Some of the most heinous things I’ve ever read on paper, and it’s a reality program! It’s a ridiculous show! ‘It’s time to go,’ I thought.
“I’m not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist, to be honest with you,” she continued.
“Who wants to leave a job?” she added elsewhere in the interview. But I believe we were all aware that it was time. After eight years of this type of program, what could I have done more than create more memes?”
Rinna first appeared as a guest star on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during its fourth season before joining the main cast in 2014.
