Madonna’s family has broken silence after Star was rushed to the ICU

Madonna was discovered unconscious in New York on Saturday (24 June) and promptly taken to the hospital, where she reportedly underwent intubation overnight.

Following this, her manager, Guy Oseary, disclosed that she had contracted a ‘severe bacterial infection’, necessitating the postponement of her tour.

In a startling turn of events, Madonna’s family disclosed that her condition was so grave that they were bracing themselves for the worst.

A family member informed the Daily Mail, “For the past few days, the direction of this situation remained uncertain, and her family was preparing for the worst.”

“This is why it was kept confidential since Saturday. Everyone feared we might lose her, and sadly, that was the reality we faced.”

Furthermore, the family member described the health scare as a ‘wake-up call’ for Madonna, emphasizing that she had been pushing herself excessively ahead of her upcoming tour.

“This truly opened her eyes. She hasn’t been living as healthily as she should be for her age, and she’s been overextending herself for the past few months,” they added.

“She still sees herself as young when, in reality, she’s not. She also thinks she’s indestructible.”

According to reports, Madonna had been practicing six days a week for the tour, with previous sources noting that her perfectionism was causing tension among the team.

Additionally, discussion of the tour has been reportedly banned from Madonna’s bedside, as she requires rest following the ordeal.

A family member remarked, “At this point, everything, including the tour, has taken a backseat, and no one is permitted to bring up anything work-related near her because she will not react well. She prioritizes her career and fame over her health, even until her last breath.”

Madonna’s management issued a statement confirming her expected full recovery but announcing the postponement of her tour commitments.

It stated, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection that resulted in a multi-day stay in the ICU. Her condition is improving, but she remains under medical supervision. A complete recovery is anticipated.”

Madonna’s 40th anniversary tour, initially set to commence in Vancouver on July 15th, has been postponed.
