Mark Wahlberg has revealed how his family are doing since their big move from LA

The actor known for his role in “Father Stu” may be one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but in 2022, he made a significant decision to move from just southwest of the infamous hills to Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 52-year-old has since shared how this relocation has positively impacted his family. Wahlberg is married to model Rhea Durham, and they have four children: Ella, 20, Michael, 17, Brendan, 15, and Grace, 14.

The family listed their $55 million Beverly Hills mansion for sale in April 2022 and transitioned to a luxurious residence in the resort community called “The Summit Club” in Summerlin, Clark County, before settling into a more permanent family home.

In an interview with CBS’ The Talk, Wahlberg expressed his hopes of creating a “Hollywood 2.0” in Las Vegas, aiming to “work from home.” However, he emphasized that the primary reason for the move was to provide his children with “a better life,” allowing them to “pursue their dreams.”

“The move made a lot more sense for us,” Wahlberg said, noting his daughter’s interest in equestrianism and his sons’ passions for basketball and golf.

Nearly two years later, Wahlberg told People that their current location is “a place where my kids can thrive and pursue their interests.” He added, “Everybody’s adapted nicely. The kids are all in school, and everyone’s happy.”

Wahlberg also praised the community in Nevada, describing it as “wonderful” and “really faith-based,” with excellent schools. This faith-based aspect aligns with Wahlberg’s Christian beliefs, as seen in his involvement with a Catholic meditation app and his openness about his Christian faith in interviews.

Reflecting on the move, Wahlberg told Fox News Digital, “It just has the best of both worlds. When people think of Las Vegas, they often think of the Strip. But just 15 to 20 minutes away, there are other amazing areas focused on family and community.”
