A teenage woman, who had her entire top lip bitten off in a horrific incident, has revealed her transformation after undergoing six surgeries.
In November 2020, as Brooklinn Khoury gained popularity on social media, a dog attacked her.
The day before her scheduled appearance in a television ad, the 25-year-old was hanging out with her cousin and her eight-year-old pet dog, Diesel. After their day out, they all returned to Brooklinn’s house to relax.
But things took a nasty turn when Diesel whirled around and pounced at Brooklinn, burying his fangs into her face and tearing off her upper lip.

Brooklinn told Inside Edition about the horrific experience, saying, “He was hanging off of my mouth.”
Following the incident, she snapped a snapshot of her face, which she finds difficult to view.
“You could see the fear in my eyes, ‘Oh my God, that’s what I look like,'” she told me afterwards. “How can you repair this? How can you repair this? I didn’t realize he had removed my entire lip.”
Brooklinn has come a long way in the four years after the tragedy, documenting her journey on Instagram and being open about the challenges she has experienced.
Brooklinn expressed her thoughts: “It’s important to look in the mirror, tell myself that what I see is not the final product, and to love myself regardless of how I look, just from the inside out.”

But, after half a dozen procedures, some of which lasted up to 20 hours, she finally has her grin back. However, because of the severity of her injuries, it took Brooklinn more than a year to find a doctor prepared to take on the case.
After her most recent major treatment in 2023, she complimented her doctor on Instagram as an ‘artist’, disclosing her aspirations to have lip tattoos as a final step.

In a post detailing her metamorphosis, she told her followers, “I’ve learned so much more than just loving what I see in the mirror over the previous several years. I’ve discovered how unusual and wonderful it is to find a surgeon with whom you can trust, talk, and laugh. I’ve learned a lot about contemporary medicine and what you can do.
“I am in awe at what my surgeon has accomplished. He’s a genuine artist. The ability to love myself during every stage of this repair process has been the most fantastic aspect. I’ve learned to appreciate every scar and distinguishing feature that makes me unique. Looking back at images like this reminds me how far I’ve come. I’ve felt very grateful and blessed.”
