Waiting seven months for a two-and-a-half-year-old to see her father is a LONG time. That’s over a fourth of her whole life! Adalynn’s mother, Alison Durbin, was understandably excited to prepare a spectacular reunion for her daughter and her husband, Senior Airman Ron Durbin, who was returning from deployment!

When Ron’s long-awaited aircraft arrived at South Dakota’s Rapid City Regional Airport, Alison greeted Adalynn with a placard that said, “I’m here to get my Dad.” “I’m not sure because I can’t read yet!” Everyone passing through the airport knew precisely what was going on, except for the oblivious tiny tot, who was about to get the BIGGEST surprise of her life!
As soon as Ron stepped off the aircraft, Adalynn dropped the placard and raced directly into Ron’s arms to greet his wife and daughter. The touching and smart daddy-daughter reunion has already gotten over 3 million Facebook views. After just a few seconds, you’ll understand why!
